If your lens has a 52mm filter thread then this hood will fit. The vents are there in case the hood falls into the viewfinder frame on leica (and other) rangefinder cameras. The vents lessen the blocking of the view in the viewfinder. "Tilted simply means that the end of the hood closes back in somewhat as opposed to staying straight. Again, this is to minimize the blocking effect on the viewfinder on rangefinder cameras (Leica M3 for example)

Q: I want to use a pinch cap for dust protection but my Fuji 35mm f2 one is too big - what size will fit the interior of the 43mm tilted hood?

I purchased this hood for my Sony 35mm Zeiss 2.8 which takes 49mm filters. The original 49mm lens cap fits perfectly in the lens hood. If you remove the lens hood the cap comes off with it as it is nested in the ledge inside the hood. So I would guess 43mm would be the answer but that's just a guess based upon my 49mm cap fitting perfectly in the 49mm hood.
