Upgraded Gameboy Advance SP Battery

It's a good battery, but the original 600mah Gameboy Advance SP states that it will last anywhere from 7 to 10 hours with the backlight turned on and about 18 hours with it off. This was tested on the Gameboy Advance SP 001 version/model, which is not the brighter version/model which is the 101 model. With that being said this 2800mah battery right out of the box gave me a good 1 hour and 36 minutes before the red light to charge came on. It then took 1 hour and 53 minutes to get to a full charge. I then tested to see how long it would run. I tested Pokemon Ruby with sound and backlight on the whole time. This 2800mah battery was able to give me a total of 10 hours and 5 minutes of play time. It's a good amount of time that it was able to produced, but it doesn't sound any better than what the original 600mah was said to produce. It's a good product but to say it's a big improvement or upgrade is a no. The installation was easy as the original and fits right in. If your old battery doesn't last more than 2-3 hours or just dead, yes you should definitely buy this replacement! Attached are the times that I screenshotted as I was testing the duration of each phase.

Phenomenal replacement battery have not even got to the first charge at played over 5 to 6 hours of Pokémon on this the battery is still green. I believe that we will have 10 to 12 hours of battery after 2 to 3 charges be sure that you fully charge it and fully let it die multiple times don’t keep plugging it in and out on the first couple charges or else you will damage the memory. I especially loved how it came with a little screwdriver for replacing the battery easily.

I was surprised with how quick it charges and how long it lasts. I played for a good 10 hours or more until it gave me the red light. I also always use the backlight, but it can last longer if you keep the backlight off while playing in well lit rooms. For heavy gaming, 2 are well worth it.

Cheapest way to fix an old device, started right up

Edit: after a good while and playing Boktai 2, Golden Sun 2 and even LoZ:OoS/A, this battery does last a good while long than the original, even after it's fully charged! Even if you haven't used it for a few days, it still holds up! Just be sure to charge it after wks or a month of not using it. OG: If you own an sp since it came out, want to buy one, or recently bought one second hand, this is a great upgrade for your SP. Especially if you've upgraded to a better quality screen like I've done. The battery life am testing right now after I drained it and fully charged it. I do know is that it stopped charging once the battery became fully charged. The battery itself is similar in dimension to the original battery.

Had some odd behavior at first - now it acts much like an oem battery. Id say 600-800 mah no more. Im not sure this will last as initially it acted like it was defective - dying suddenly with no red light warning. Now after some cycles its ok. Will update if it fails early.

Super high quality great big capacity! From what I paid for it I expected this to be junk but I was pleasantly surprised. Sure all this stuff comes from China now and you can get a lemon but, I got a really good one for the same money as I can get with lower capacity batteries. I don't use my game boy advance very often except if I fly or something like that. So I use it as a novelty now and then is great having this battery cuz I don't have to jerk around with a smaller battery that would give me less time. So far the battery is done well
