I don't know why I didn't do this sooner. I bought this item because it was priced well compared to other similar items. What I found out when I got it is that it can be expanded a couple of times and fits over bowls of various sizes as well as a plate. So I got this. Now instead of it splattering upwards it comes down and the turntable plate is always a mess. Oh well. The accordion function is a bit stiff so we leave one open at all times either on the counter or in the microwave.
