Perfect lenses for my video logs
While G-Master lenses have a high price tag, I never get disappointed with them. I was very impressed with the lens performance under low light and the 35mm was a nice fit for my use case, which is to record video logs. I haven't used it for other scenarios, like street photography. However, it's compact enough that I may use it for that in the future.

Still the best beast 35mm f1.4 Sony GM lens in the market.:)
This lens is very sharp and lightweight, producing fantastic image quality and high-resolution photos on my Sony A7r5.

Sharp, good built = quality
I bought this lens to work with my A7iV. The images are sharp and the this lense has a good build quality. I'm enjoying using it very much.

Great lens for both indoor and outdoor
I like it. The focal length is great for landscape and close ups. The aperture is wide so it allows you shoot indoor with no problems. Autofocus is quick.

Great Lens
Cannot go wrong with a native lens, very sharp throughout the focal range. This lens provides great images as I’ve been shooting for a few years now. It’s got a little weight to it but I was able to pair it with my Sony a7iii on my Ronin 3 gimbal and get some great shots.

A fantastic lens!
This lens is a perfect fit for my A7CR - fast, optically fantastic, lightweight (relatively speaking), well-built, and compact. So sharp it is ridiculous. Autofocus is spot on and very fast paired with the aforementioned camera. This was the first lens I purchased with my recent camera equipment refresh cycle and would likely be my choice if I had only one lens. The fast aperture allows very low light work and the lens performs so well wide open. Also, since it is a first party lens, it works with Sony's lens breathing compensation, which is available on newer Sony bodies during video shooting. Highly recommended!

it’s a top choice
Great combination of size / weight / image quality. I also think it just has a nice design. While I will say that the image quality is spectacular, it depends what you’re used to. My Leica APO Summicron glass legitimately blows this away, but the price differences make them non-comparable. If I had to critique it from the actual best FF 35mm in the world:- the transition area just outside the DoF looks a more like some sort of optical aberration rather than simply going out of focus- mild CA and softness visible wide open at closer ranges- mild CA in high contrast areas (think tree branches) at larger apertures- I wish it had deeper micro contrastHonestly, none of this really matters. This is what you’ll find if you go pixel peeping, which I know a lot of users of this lens will do. Ultimately, if you make any photos with this you don’t love, it will never be the lens’s fault.(Also yes I’ve seen the DXO reviews and have no idea what they’re smoki… er, doing. I currently own both lenses along with an A7RIVa and SL2, sitting in front of me, and have tested them back and forth. Multiple copies of the Leica prove consistent.)
