These Sony microcassett tapes are very reliable and I've been using them for more than 20 years to record interview. I can count on one hand the number of tape that have bound up and I'm guessing that was because of dirty heads, not bad tape. Fortunately, however, I recently bought a digital recorder and now these tapes are no longer a part of my life. They are like little dinosaurs that I keep excavating in various little drawers and bins in my office. Long live the micro cassette, but thankfully, they are all history for me!

I've been buying these micro cassettes for many years and so far have not gotten one that was problematic. These are among the best on the market today. I can expect them to hold up to use for quite a while. Of course, I find myself more often than not using a digital recorder which requires no tapes at all. But for minutes, documentation of conferences, etc. these are still valuable resources.

Seems like a decent value. These tapes are increasingly difficult to find.
