DO NOT BUY THIS SYSTEM.
I have had nothing but problems from day one. The mic headset crackled immediately. (Out of curiosity I checked the lapel version and it didn't transmit at all.) It was difficult to get customer service to approve a replacement but finally I received one. The replacement didn't work either. I was sent a new transmitter. It worked for a short time. It no longer works. I am at a point where I don't know if my problem is the headset or the transmitter or both. I teach fitness classes and rely heavily on a reliable mic system as I have major throat issues and am not supposed to shout. This one is not it. I will be contacting customer service yet again. I am not looking forward to this as you can be on hold for an hour.

Supplier NON RESPONSIVE
The sound quality is fine for a unit in this price range. I had problems with the headset mic but it started working after a while. Everything works fine now. The build quality feels a bit cheap...but at this price I don't expect much...as long as it works. Online Amazon chat was helpful.Update: Headset mic stopped working again. Pyle is not very responsive. They are asking me to wait (over a week for now) to see if they have the headset mic in stock. Also, the on, off, on-charge switches make no sense and got no good explanation...the off works the same as on-charge. Power works fine, though.Update: No response from supplier regarding replacing the headset mic. Four attempts. NOT PLEASED.

Nice PA system in a small package
Bought this as a replacement for a PylePro PMWA3600, which worked well but weighed too much to lug around to various meeting sites. This unit can be carried easily anywhere, and the battery is good for about 5 or 6 hours before recharging.. But there is always a price to be paid for convenience. The 3600 came with a wireless mike, which was great, as well as a jack for a wired mike. The 200 comes with a similar but wired mike. Fortunately it has an amply long cord to allow some movement by the speaker. The pocket-sized wireless transmitter is powerful enough that the volume control has to be close to minimum to avoid feedback. Two mikes are provided for use (individually) with the transmitter. One clips on the speaker's shirt collar or blouse, and is very unobtrusive. But the speaker cannot turn his or her head very far without the sound level dropping out. Fine for looking straight ahead, as at a TV camera. The other has a headset mounted mike that can be positioned near the speaker's mouth, and will stay there as the speaker turns his or her head, as a singer might. More obtrusive, but works well. The PMWA 200 provides ample amplification for a large room, but not an auditorium.
