A bit too short.
As a newcomer to rope climbing, I found the 30" length just a little too short for ease of use. It did however finish tight and clean for two friction knots.

Life saving
The flexibility is great. I use a 9mm static rope for tree work and the flexing grips well as a VT friction hitch on my 9-10mm line... It quickly grabbed when a branch snapped while ascending a tall ash tree.... If it hadn't I'd be severely disabled now....what more can I say.
