Worked perfectly for me, just need to know some wiring
PLEASE READ:This is especially for those who look to retain your factory back-up camera on your Lancer. For peace of mind: SHOPS CAN DO THIS FOR YOU, IT TRUTHFULLY ISN'T DIFFICULT OR TIME CONSUMING REALLY, so if you want to DIY, it's straightforward, even if you don't, just keep reading. And also, for this you shouldn't need the 6v to 12v adapter. I did mine without it and its working fine.So I bought this on a whim for my 2015 Lancer SE, with the idea of maintaining my OEM backup camera with the SYGAV Lollipop 5.1 aftermarket head-unit specifically made for Lancers. I will admit i did spend a decent amount of time on this and researching and coming up with nothing. No one has really used this adapter and shown any installs. I originally thought this was a plug and play system but that didn't end up being the case after all.So it arrived, a simple harness with a small piece of paper saying where which wire must go. So I completely spaced out and was slightly upset thinking that it would be that simple. On top of most head-units, it usually tells which wire on the 20 pin connector does what. and in order. So, after you understand this and read the instructions for the adapter, it'll give you an easy rundown. It's as simple as:Black wire: You have 2 options for this. You can either ground it, OR splice/cut into the black/ground wire on the 20 pin connector and combine the wires via wire nut or black electrical tape. (I mean, on the Lancer especially, there aren't that many places to ground on the chassis in that location and the ones you can, you need some socket wrenches which I didn't have at the time. Makes it simpler in my opinion since the wire your cutting into is already grounded anyway.)0Yellow wire: Combine with constant 12v power. I cut into a yellow wire for the constant power and wire nutted them together. (Make sure to check connection before cutting into anything. The connection will be called B+) So cut/splice into the wire on the 20 pin and combine with yellow from adapter then wire nut/ electrical tape them together.Red wire: This is an accessory wire. When you turn your key the first notch and only the radio turns on, no lights or anything else (in most vehicles) this setting is known as accessory. It is also a 12v power source but it isn't constant like the yellow. This wire follows a similar tune. Most likely it will be a red wire (Labeled ACC). This wire follows the same directions as the yellow. Splice/cut the wire and wire nut/electrical tape them together.Green wire: This wire is the main wire you need to have in order for the head-unit to detect the car in Reverse and know to switch to and from the backup campera input. Now this wire will probably be a loose wire from the 20 pin connector. In most cases, you will just need to combine the green wire and the Reverse wire (I'd expect it to say BACK, REVERSE or something along those lines.) and then wire nut/ electric tape them togetherIt does 100% work and if you don't trust yourself to cut wires and do connections, get a shop to do it for you. Even if you know someone who does some electrical work, it's a straightforward install. It was my first time doing this and I guarantee I could do the same for someone else's system if they asked me. Very good product, just need to have some good investigation skills. If anything comes up with the system, I'll update in the future but so far it's working flawlessly.

Works well but the instructions provided are not up to date. I had to download the latest directions online and also research the factory wiring harness to make sure I cut the right wires to make the backup camera work correctly.

Exactly what I needed
I own a 01 Mitsubishi Galant. This model doesn't come with a factory screen radio but I was determined to make some changes to the stereo trim part and adapt a used OEM Mitsubishi screen stereo that I bought. So using the model number on the stereo I bought, I downloaded the repair manual PDF and that's how I found out that model was back up camera ready and there was supposed to be a 8 pin connector coming from the car to make it work (my car doesn't have that 8 pin harness of course since it doesn't come with a rear camera) Anyways, with that as my one and only clue I did my research and discovered this Mitsucam harness, I took my chances and ordered ot from Amazon along with a cheap camera and got it a few days ago. I plugged it in the stereo, connected the camera on it and voilá! It works like a charm! I couldn't be happier!

Worked for me.
I used this to add a camera to a 2015 Outlander Sport that did not come from the factory with one. I first got a (direct fit) Lancer touch screen and went from there. Important to note: you DO NOT have to use the green "reverse" wire for this application. Also, I only had to use one of the (3) ground wires. I just did trial and error until I found the right one and taped off the others. For the ground on the camera side, it was acting up so I tapped directly into a black grounding wire back there (I think it was for the wiper motor).

This does not work for 2016 outlander with Rockford Fosgate Audio system. I had to take to the professional installer and you will have to manually connect the Green/Purple to the Reverse Wire of the car itself as well in order to obtain a power. Instruction is incorrect.
