An Excellent Training Suit
Like all Speedo swimwear, this Boomstar Placement Flyback swimsuit is constructed from high-quality materials designed for aquadynamics and chlorine-resistance. The star on the front has a distressed effect which makes it look like corroded metal - a fantastic design. The open shoulders and cutaway back allow arms a full and unimpeded range of movement. The hip cut is quite low, which means that the suit's hip areas have to stretch during swimming, particularly for breaststroke kicks. The polyamide/elastane mix allows this flex to happen, but at the cost of a miniscule amount of performance. This is a training suit rather than a competition one, though, so that tiny reduction of performance is acceptable. Despite the material's chlorine-resistant properties (and Speedo's claim that it's machine washable), I recommend thoroughly rinsing this by hand in cold water immediately after every use. This will increase the lifespan of the swimsuit, while also ensuring that it suffers little or no fading. Machine-washing swimsuits vastly reduces their longevity, so I wouldn't recommend it, regardless of any claims manufacturers make.

Practical and with super design detail, this is a swimsuit that’s made for swimmers – 5 StarsFor any youngster who enjoys swimming this is a great swimsuit, and for a dedicated swimmer (perhaps a club member), then this is a serious piece of kit. The design detail is superb: Made to fit like a second skin, it allows virtually unrestricted movement, but the one-piece styling, fly-back, and racing-style shoulder straps ensures it doesn’t slip.Presented in a no-nonsense black, the front is nicely decorated in contrasting vibrant pink shade with several Speedo ‘arrow’ motifs forming a star pattern. It also has the Speedo logo, and is easy to care for. It’ll dry quickly, it’s made to be fully chlorine resistant, and can be machine washed at 30°C.
