Actron CP7876 IR Thermometer PRO Non-Contact Infrared Thermometer with Laser Pointer

Came with a carrying case. Easy to use. Point and shoot and the temperature is captured. 10:1 distance v. target (1.2" target at 12" distance, 7.2" at 6 feet, etc. Was able to shoot a window about 20' feet away and it appeared to have even finer resolution than that). Repeatable accuracy (same temp displayed each time I re-shot the target). Bought it to help with daughter's science fair project. She needed a way of measuring the temperature of various types of operating lamps (CFLs, incandescents, etc.). Put a piece of black electrical tape on the surface of each and shot it with this pyrometer. The CP7876 has an automatic maximum hold feature that captures the highest temperature so you can sweep the unit around the target area. The large display in the middle shows the instantaneous (about 1 second update rate) and a smaller display in the lower right corner of the screen shows the maximum temperature recorded since the trigger was pulled.

Small size good quality. Can check temperature from virtually any type of surface. I highly recommend it.

Have used it on a variety of surfaces. Is very easy to use and gives a quick response. Temps seem to be accurate. Like the padded carrying case to store it in when not in use. The auto-off feature is very nice, never have to forget to turn it off when done using it. The laser light aides in directing the sensor to the desired target. This is a good non-contact thermometer and very easy to use. Definitely got my money's worth out of this device.

I haven't had a chance to work with this unit very much yet. After I have had some time working with this unit I will know more about how to rated.
