Useful info regarding interceptions
This book has been helpful, especially considering how difficult it is to find decent info regarding interceptions (planets and houses). At least via internet searches. Most of the time when one inquires about it, they are told to use Whole sign instead of Placidus (which is fine, but it doesn’t answer the question). This book also goes into Natal retrograded planets, but I haven’t delved too much there yet. I’m still learning (and honestly, may always be), but this book has shown more light on my questions concerning interceptions than any other routes I’ve tried thus far.

Enjoyable and Fresh
I loved this book, it was a fantasic read and gave me an informative in depth look into intercepted houses and signs. Im possitive that this is the most in depth book on this topic written so far. I have done a ton of internet research on intercepted signs and I've only been able to find references taken from this book. I would recommend this for anyone who studies astrology in depth. It really resonates with my personal intercepted sign struggles. Love it! I have read and reread many times.

This book contains the most useful information I have come across about intercepted and duplicated signs. A must have for the astrology library.

Must Have Reference Book for Every Astrologer or Serious Student of Astrology
Definitely the reference book to own if you're serious about astrology and want to understand interceptions and retrogrades in the natal chart more thoroughly. To my knowledge, before its date of publication (1992), Your Hidden Powers was the only book that even considered addressing interceptions in the natal chart. While I can't vouch for the few others which have been written since, it has been Ms. Wickenburg's book which has been cited in numerous other astrology treatises that caused me to finally - after nearly 35 years of my own astrological studies - take a look for myself. The most salient chapter, in my opinion, is Chapter 9, The Eight Stages of Cyclic Unfoldment; this information, in particular, is mandatory reading for anyone wishing to better comprehend the retrogradation process, itself, not just the so-called `cook book' interpretations by sign and house placement. Understanding how this process actually functions, as well as the definition of each stage in relation to a particular retrograde planet, will allow a more comprehensive delineation of the natal chart. The only thing this book lacks is the consideration of Chiron, whose inclusion in even a basic interpretation of the natal chart, has become crucial for many.

Going beyond the basics
This is not a book for the casual user of astrology who wants a quick interp. You have to at least have a wheel version of your birth chart and be able to identify a house cusp to know what she is talking about...HOWEVER...Once you do...and it doesn't take much study to get this far...This book is very interesting. For those of you who don't know much about charts but are intrigued enough to keep reading, intercepted signs do a lot! Most astrological signs in a natal chart contain at least one house, sometimes they have two. This means that the energy of that sign colors that house along with any planet that is placed on it. For instance if Gemini contains the beginning (cusp) of the third house (representing communication and siblings) the person's actions in this area will be colored by Gemini characteristics. When a very wide house (usually two since it has a counterpart opposite it on the chart) contains a whole sign with neither its beginning or end touching it, we have an interception. That means that the energies of that sign don't have a house to act out of. No area of life is directly represented by the sign. You then have to look to its ruler and use the house that contains it to express this energy. In short, your environment does not support direct expression of the trait or the needs of any planet placed inside of sign. The other part of this book dealing with retrograde planets is equally valuable. I know of only two readily available book on that subject. This is a very good addition to the library of any budding astrologer!

Insightful
Loved how Joanne really makes sure to cover all the bases and how brief she keeps things. Not at all to be read cookbook style, mainly for true understanding of the dynamics the interceptions and visible motion of the planets. Lovely short read!I hope she writes/has written an expanded version, as I would love to learn more

Bello
Un libro illuminante . Ha sciolto molti dubbi sul tema dei segni e delle case intercettate . Esposizione chiara e coerente dei concetti . Per adesso il migliore su questo tema

Missing piece of the puzzle
This book was the missing piece of the puzzle that explained one thing that other astrology books failed to explain.Highly recommend for anyone having intercepted signs in their natal charts.
