Perfect for my enameled art desk!
Painted the bottom of my desk with this gold leaf paint and it turned out beautiful. Was surprised that such a small bottle would cover the bottom of my desk (legs and all!) Would definitely buy again when needed. Great product that dries both quickly and evenly.

Nice color and finish
My metal bed was matte black. Blah! I painted it a deep navy and used this paint to highlight the knobby bits. It really looks like brass! It goes on very smoothly. It is very liquid so do protect against drips. You just have to dip the very tip of the brush - at tiny bit of paint - and it covers quite an area. So easy to use. I used cheap artist brushes about 1/4" for my project.Clean up is with mineral spirits (and I learned to have it handy with a cloth to clean up drips!) And it has real metal in it so you do have to seal it with an acrylic spray. But the effect is great - so worth it compared to a paint that is just "metallic".

This paint is amazing
I used air drying clay to make a copy of a grasshopper weather vane and painted it with the brass metallic paint, than used a verde green to make it look a little weathered and glued it to a board painted black. I love the way it came out. I just love this paint.

Surprised at actual colors
I have used this product for years, love! In photo classic gold on the left and brass on the right.

Golden Glow
This is more Golden than the Gold color version of this pigment. Oil based. I add to resin. It is made with a lot of copper. Excellent Results!Terrific!

Brass 6150 better than Classic Gold
These paints are phenomenal!! I initially bought the classic gold. Although someone in the reviews had commented that it was more of a rose gold I allowed myself to be lead by the name: “classic gold”. After using it and not really getting the desired look (color) I took my chances and purchased the Brass 6150. This color has a closer resemblance to real gold than the prior. Both are easy to use, if they puddle they self level. Also, a little goes a long way and it dries relatively fast. It does have a strong smell, so for those who are sensitive, it is best to wear a bandana or a mask. To clean and preserve your brushes use acetone or nail polish remover that contains acetone...one more thing: make sure you shake it before opening and at intervals if you’re using it for a prolonged time because it tends to separate and it starts to change color.

Leaking package
Package was leaking red stuff (probably the primer in the paint) but the seller has a no return policy which I hadn't noticed before purchasing. The container is gross and sticky, but as you can see, the paint itself (after a lot of shaking and mixing) is as advertised. Takes two coats to cover up text.
