Best board for chess.
The board is excellent. It is well made, heavy and up to very delicate details. It is a good-sized board also. However, the pieces are not so well designed. Many pieces are so similar that they are, most of the time, undiscernible. That affects in many ways how you play chess. The pieces are too light. They don't match up with the board.

Disappointed.
The set looks like pewter and bronze and claims to be hand-painted, but when it arrived I was surprised to find a box of cheap, plastic pieces that are pewter and bronze COLORED. They have no weight to them, they have made in china stickers on the bottom, and they are definitely not hand-painted. I was so excited for this set, but it’s not what it appears to be.
