Zen Art Brass Feng Shui Desktop Gong H1303

Bought this for our themed master bathroom. This gong is so pretty. It is larger than what it looks like in the pic as the vase and flowers are pretty large. Yes, it actually makes noise when struck. Well made.

I’m very surprised with just how nice this little gong is. I wasn’t, of course, expecting Zildjian quality, not at this price, but it’s a very nice sounding gong. Striking the center produces a solid, sharp, high pitch (for the size) ring, and striking the outer edge produces a soft, complex chime. Anywhere in between is a combination favoring one or the other depending on where you hit it. The wood frame is inexpensive but perfectly suitable and presentable. There’s a nice I-Ching type coin embedded in it. The only con I can give is the string threaded through the top of the gong....it’s going to abrade due to the metal edges of the small holes and will have to be replaced at some point. I have some Kevlar thread I’ll use when that time comes, which will probably outlast the gong itself. I bought this for use in circle and it’s going to be a beautiful addition! Buy with confidence.

Cute size. Great value and adds some good topic of conversation. Quality is great and makes a nice gong. Definitely fun and very zen.

I have this next to my Buddha. It is the perfect size and it is pretty. I let my granddaughter ring the gong but I have to hold it steady while she does so it will not fall over. Aesthetically it is very nice. To actually use it, it is a little flimsy.

The media could not be loaded. I used this going as a cultural decoration on one of the floating shelves in my living room. It's beautiful; small, yet majestic! Excellent quality and the only thing I could wish for more is a deeper "gong" sound when hit. Obviously, due to the size, it is a much higher chime than I would like. Physics and acoustics. Duh. #sizedoesmatter

The worst is when you purchase or are gifted something and you can't immediately check it out as you have to search your house for parts to use because what you were provided with doesn't work.... Strings are too short! I found something and was able to put it together. Now I am annoyed with the purchase and item. Seems cheaper feeling than I had hoped... But it's not a super expensive item. I guess you get what you pay for. It's fine for my purposes.

I bought this as part of a Scrubs gift for my husband. The 'sex gong' in the show is very similar to this one and was worth the laugh. Its little but it is LOUD!

Wow, this gong was wrapped very carefully and well. Much bigger than I expected and well made. Love the sound, pretty loud and resonates nicely. Because of its size it sounds more like a chime rather than a deep gong but that’s OK it’s very nice. I’m pleased.
