Worked Great for Honda CT110 6V to 12V Converter
Installed on a Honda CT110 to convert 6V to 12V to power a Garmin Zumo X2. It was able to keep everything charged as long as you keep the revs up. The Honda CT110 provides 8V/3A at 10k RPM. Ran flawlessly for a GCDR (Continental Divide) ride (~2000 miles - 120 hours continuous usage). Only able to power the Zumo X2 since it requires the full output from the Honda.

It’s a good product
It used this to install a 12v heater in my 6v positive ground 1955 dodge coronet. I know that people speak of these being inefficient but I don’t see that it’s so. On the high setting the current draw is only 6amp through the converter vs 5.3 on a nominal 12v battery…. I think that’s pretty efficient given my usage and the generator doesn’t seem to mind it

Works great but has a start up delay
It works fine, but I need to use it differently. I had it wired to power the 12V head lights, one ofr low beam and one for high beam. It takes about 1.5 seconds to switch on. Going from high to low beam and back: 1.5 seconds darkness. I need to have it constant on and switch a relay to make it perfect... was a bit of a bummer.

works perfectly on my 6-volt motorcycle
The halogen headlamps on my 6-volt Honda S90 were dim and would burn out pretty quickly. I switched to 6-volt LEDs, which didn't burn out but were even dimmer than the original bulbs—only the high beam provided adequate light. I bought this step-up converter so I could try out 12-volt bulbs, and it works great. It's basically the perfect size to mount on a bracket between my forks.Unfortunately, it has only one input and one output, so I can't wire both the high and low beams (or perhaps I should say I don't know HOW to wire both of them through the converter), so I only have the high beam on, and an eyelid keeps the headlamp from blinding oncoming traffic.

Did what it was suppose to do but very short lived... maybe I got a 🍋
I used this to install a light bar on my tractor to run in low light while operating for about 1.5 hr lights cut out and the unit was very hot like burn your hand hot. Something internal failed, when I powered it up again I was only getting 6V out and it would heat up quick. I dont think I over loaded it with the light bar honestly I'm just glad I caught it 😅 before I caused a fire. Hopefully it was just a lemon 🍋 and who knows the next on would work 20 years no problem but that was my experience I ended up buying a little more expensive model that does 20A coverage and so far no problem.

Works good
Used this to run two 12v Led work lights from a 6 vdc battery on my 1947 Tractor. Tractor uses a magneto and a generator, so there is no 12vdc anything.
