Doesn’t reflect the changes made to the PTCB exam
On page ii under “What you need to know to pass the PTCB” the wrong information is listed under subjects and the percentage of each subject that will be on the test.According to the official PTCB website there are only 4 subjects that are being tested under the new PTCB exam:Medications 40%Federal Requirements 12.5%Patient Safety and Quality Assurance 26.25%Order Entry and Processing 21.25%I find it very frustrating that I bought a practice exam book for 2021-2022 that doesn’t reflect these changes.

I passed my PTCB reading this book
This book will definitely help you pass, it goes over the math perfectly; the conversions they give you are top tier. I do recommend using Quizlet and YouTube videos with this as well, because the book alone in my opinion is not enough for certain things, such as compounding/laminar questions. Also you do not need to know all the side effects and the parts of the body the book includes, just the fast movers and common slow movers (top 100 drugs). Things like grapefruit and statins, common things you hear in a pharmacy.

Very helpful in preparation for PTCE
Though I haven't read the whole book yet, I can say that the book is very informative and I am learning a lot as I go through each chapter. It also gave me a better understanding of the Pharmacy Technician's job. The only thing that I think I might recommend for improvement is rearranging/renaming the outline of topics for them to (exactly) match the PTCE Content Outline.

The best test book ever bought!
The material covered in the book have made me understand more the role that I would be taking as a Pharmacy Technician. I got lots of great tips and tricks from experienced Pharmacy Techs. I feel more confident about taking the test in June or July. Will continue to study and work with hands-on training as well. Thank you for offering the book and other resources it will help me gain my certification and pass the test with ease.

Study time
The book goes into detail. Some things are over detailed for what The book is to be used for. It seems to stress more into the nurse angle then Pharmacy tech

Does Not Include Everything You Need to Know
This product is good for a general overview, but some information is missing. For example, the top 200 medications PTCE takers need to know are nowhere to be found. “Common medications” are listed, but there’s no indication as to which are most important and this book does not provide information on drug dose sizes, which is another part of the PTCE. Have found some typos, but the glaring issue is that the book is not as comprehensive as it claims.
