Can You Hear the Trees Talking?: Discovering the Hidden Life of the Forest

This book is so easy to read and learn loads about the forest. It's meant for kids, but describes everything so well would definitely recommend it for adults learning about the forest too!

I also read the highly recommended title, The Hidden Life of Trees, by the same author . This is the kids' version. It is a lovely book and very educational. I am reading it to my grandchildren. I have learned a lot too. It gives children a different perspective on trees than the one put out by forest industry and it is well documented with scientific research about plants and trees. How little we really understand! Teach your children to value, appreciate, and better understand the forests and trees around them.

My nature obsessed 7 yo loves this book. We read only 1 or 2 pages a night bc we are trying to really understand and retain the Info. We recall info we’ve learned while we’re out on hikes or forest play dates. Love this book for child and parent. I’d recommend it for kids age 7+. My 5yo spaces out a lot when we read it and my 3 yo doesn’t even try to pay attention.

My eight year old granddaughter and I read the book to each other over skype. We both enjoyed the book and learned a lot.
