Outer cover is paper
I think this would be a whole lot better with a hard cover on the front and back, even if it was hard cardboard.

Highly recommend buying them
High quality! Love the colors, the size (I bought the large ones), and the rings they come with are very sturdy! I like that I can create my own deck of flash cards and combine the colors onto one key ring and get multiple uses out of them. Awesome purchase! Worth the money!

These cards are really nice and a change from the plain old white index cards. I purchased two boxes and they are quite efficient in separating subjects with the assorted colored cards.
