Sierra International 18-9847, Bellows ExPander Tool , white

I highly doubt this is an authentic Sierra brand, although the sticker says it is.The tool didn't come with any directions, but if you're mechanically inclined, you'll be able to figure out how to use the holder rod and clip.The machine work on this is horrible. The edges on the little plates that go into the bellows ridges are sharp and jagged. I had to file mine down so there wasn't any risk of them cutting the bellows in the grooves. The tool does what it's supposed to, but very , VERY bad quality (jagged edges). Thought Sierra would offer a better quality made tool.

An absolutely essential tool to install the exhaust bellows on a Mecruiser outdrive. I used the tool to help push the exhaust bellows on the flange of the transom as well as to pull it onto the flange of the bell housing. You might be able to install the exhaust bellows on the transom edge without this tool but once the bell housing is within the gimbal ring, there is no way anyone could get their fingers or hands in their to push the bellows onto the bell housing flange. Follow the directions in the Mercuiser manual and the installation takes about 15 to 20 minutes. Without the tool, I could easily see someone having the fuss around trying to install the bellows for hours. The tool is constructed well enough to do the job and is economically priced.

Junk, works but broke first use. I'll make one myself for next time.

When I opened the box and saw this tool I thought "this thing looks cheap, it isn't gonna work!" After using it I quickly changed my mind! Whoever thought up this tool must've been a genius. It did exactly what it was supposed to do with no issues. I highly recommend this tool if you want to save yourself time and frustration when replacing your exhaust bellows!

doesn't really work as they claim. The bellows is still a major pain to install, even with this tool. Save you money and try another method.

kind of light duty but gets the job done

VERY poor build quality. UN-useable as it came to me out of the box. I needed to clean up the rough edges and bend the flanges into line before using. I'm disappointed at this price point! Sierra has been letting me down a lot lately. They used to be a great supplier of aftermarket parts, but lately everything I get from them is junk. (Circa 2015)

Makes install so much easier. Struggled for hours before and no success. Bought tool, and literally 2 minute install

As expected. I could not have done the bellows job without this tool in a timely manner.
