Can this be rolled out and used with cookie cutters?

It doesn't make a moldable 'dough', but I'm sure you could mix small amounts to pour into cookie cutter shapes, but you'll need to make sure the shapes are sealed well. If you want to roll and cut out shapes, try polymer clay.

Can I use this to make plant pots?

I don't see why you couldn't. I would seal the inside just in case though, so the water doesn't wear it away.

can it be sanded? And when hard, can it be sealed with epoxy resin for outdoors?

Done some light sanding on it with no issues and I have applied layers of resin with no problem.

What is the approx volume of mixed material per bag?

It mixes in a ratio of 1.5 parts permastone to 1 part water. If you use a 48 oz bag you would need 32 oz of water to use up a full bag. It does not really expand much as it sets.

Jesmonite alternative

This works great! I was trying to find a Jesmonite alternative, and this works well. Mixes with water to form a pancake batter consistency (no need to measure parts) and cures pretty quickly. I demold after about 2hr. Cures to a nice very light beige and is pretty easy to pigment. I’ve used acrylic paint and gotten nice pastel colors. Mica powder was pretty faint. I recommend this!

Great for a newbie

I wanted to try resin but I am too concerned about it being finicky and especially expensive. This was a low cost way to experiment with casting into a mold. The hardness of material is amazing. Simple, pretty well fool-proof material to work with.

I used this to recreate a 100+ year old architectural fragment of a Skull and Bones crest. Looks and feels great! Note: I like to add a pinch of marble powder as well, I feel that adds to the look. A+
