Replacement switch for Master Fan
Works great, hat to file out a very small amount of metal to ensure a smooth fit. You don't want to be rough putting this in because you may damage plastic threads. The only down side is the white position line on the switch will not line up with the off, low, medium, high selections. It doesn't matter because it still selects the speeds you want, it just doesn't align with this fan. Most important part of this is the wires slide into the slots so there is no soldering required. Just use a small nail to push down on the copper to remove each wire from your old switch. Before you remove the wires write down the wiring color to the corresponding number on the switch. For the Master Fan it's Black wire to L port, red wire to port 3, white wire to port 2 and blue wire to port 1. I suspect this order applies to all 4 wire switches. So for my fan off is technically on the high fan speed selection and it then moves beyond that for additional speeds.

This is a great value to extend the life of a fan where the switch gave out.
Did you know that you cannot get a 20 inch metal bladed quality box fan anymore? They are all junk with low power motors and wobbly plastic fans made in China. They don’t push any air and I find them a waste of time. So when my old metal aluminum fan bladed 20 inch box fan gave up the ghost, I wasn’t ready to throw it out. And I’m glad I didn’t. This switch was a perfect replacement switch for that old metal bladed box fan. It took me about 25 minutes to rewire the fan with nothing more than a screwdriver and a pair of wire strippers. This is a great value to extend the life of a fan where the switch gave out.

I was wrong! THIS LIGHT-WEIGHT 10A Rotary switch WAS A BETTER THAN AN EXACT REPLACEMENT.
I was skeptical and wanted to return this product. Boy was I wrong; this was so much better for what I needed. If you want a dial speed-switch for your small 1, 2, and 3amp electric motor but don’t have room for your standard rotary cam switch and you’re uncertain exactly how to wire a cam rotary switch, then you have found your perfect part. This 4 position 3 speed 10 amp switch is elegant, the wire make-up is too simple, and the fact that it will mount To your standard electrical cover plate made this ideal for me as a switch replacement on a high-end oven hood to run its high-end centrifugal exhaust motor that typically comes with those high-end hoods.

Cheap Junk, Save Your Money
This is not worth your time or money. The wire holders a cheaply made just bent thin metal type of push connectors that do not hold the wires. Once the wire is inserted the thin metal stays bent and allows the wire to pull out. What it should do is keep trying to spring back to it position keep pressure on the wire to keep it from pulling out. Do waste your time or money.

Functional replacement for a good old fan. Did not just drop-in, but mods were not difficult.
This switch works to replace a busted switch on an old, but really good fan. I had to Dremel out the opening some and slightly change where the cables ran. But everything works good initially. No problems pressing in the wires and them staying tight. I didn't have to but the wires can be released by pushing a tiny screwdriver in the wire opening. $7 is a smidge expensive for what it physically is (a little bit of plastic and 4 strips of bent metal) but not for the value it restores.

I'm a licensed electrician and in my opinion this is a very cheap product. Cheap push in connections that barely hold the wire. Doubtful it will last very long. Feels like made in China stuff you would get from ebay or alibaba.
