Prime-Line PL 14621 Black Vinyl, Spline Channel Pull Tabs (25 Pack)

I used these tabs when I replaced some screens that had been in place for 20+ years. The screening material was easy to find at the local Home Depot, but the tabs where nowhere to be found. These have worked well with the charcoal colored screens that I used. I'm not particularly "handy" with DIY stuff, but these were easy enough to use. It just took a bit of work to figure out which side of the screen to place them (opposite the side where the spline is located) and you need to work it a bit as it does make inserting the spline a tighter fit. I used a 0.140 spline with a standard screen. The tabs make the insertion and removal of the screen much easier and so far they held very securely. Time will tell if they will get brittle as they age. The one negative is that since they are a solid black color, they are noticeable. My previous tabs were clear, but then, they got brittle over time and just broke when I tried to remove the screen.

They are very fragile, broke as soon as I tried to pull the window screen into the frame. If you need something just for looks and don't care about the next person who needs to actually use it then hey, they are a great deal but if you need these to work don't buy them.

As mentioned by other reviewers, these are made of very thin plastic -- much thinner than the spline tabs that were installed on the screens, but the old ones broke and had to be replaced. I was skeptical that these would even work, but I installed them on one screen as a test and they worked fine. Not sure how they'll hold up over time in the baking sun, but that's the subject of a future review.

This Pull Tab was easy to install and is very durable. I was a bit worried about some of the reviews about how this product did not do well, but I have had it installed for about 3 months and have used it several times when taking my screen off, and have had no issues. In fact, my screen is a bit too large which requires me to really pull really hard on this tab to get the screen in place and it has worked flawlessly.

Great product. Very well made and durable - It just did not fit my particular screen frame. The channel height was about 3 mm too much which prevented the screen from laying flat. Amazon was great about a refund though. Will continue to shop at Amazon.

Product is way too thin. Has pulled out on several screens (new hardware, splines, screen, etc) on first attempt to use because it is so thin that it just "slips out" after installation.

I should have listened to the other reviews. These are so thin they do not anything. The feel cheap, should have know the price was too good to be true compared to others. Ill be returning the product....

Thos product hashad some bad reviews. This product was made to work with other products by the same manufacturer. And it isa good product if used as designed.
