This handmade wooden serving tray is stained Dark Roast to show off the unique knots and grains of the pine and makes for an eye catching display piece, in addition to being sturdy and functional. It has heavy cast iron pipe-style handles. To protect the wood for durability and easy cleaning, it's coated in a thick polyurethane that is then sanded smooth with steel wool. Beautifully made serving piece that will be a conversation starter!
I'm absolutely thrilled with this purchase! The photo doesn't do it justice! It's much larger and sturdier than it looks in the photo. The wood has a pretty grain and is beautifully stained dark and the handles have a nice patina. It is solidly constructed and big enough to function as a fairly large serving tray for entertaining. I used it to hold three large wine glasses and a cheese and crackers board and there was plenty of room. While it is rustic in style, it is high quality enough to use in any decor. Most people will assume it's an antique. I hope the artist continues to expand her line of products as I will buy more! It is well worth the price!
