I love this doll head. It was so easy to style and had little shedding. All I used was shampoo and leave in conditioner. I then finger coiled it to get that beautiful result. Very thick and nice realistic scalp. And the price was awesome. Worth every penny.

Bought this product to learn how to braid. On first glance the mannequin’s hair seems to be 4C but when manipulated with product the hair becomes noticeably looser. This was disappointing because I was looking for hair that was more like my own. There are no washing instructions in the product description so I washed it with garnier shampoo & conditioner which dried out the hair tremendously and has made it harder to work with. There aren’t many coarse mannequins on the market so I guess this is as good as it gets. After messing around with the mannequin I’ve come to the assumption that this hair is not naturally curly. Because of this it does not behave the way I imagined it would. Cool things are that there is very minimal shedding & it comes with an adjustable and rotating clamp.

Really like this product and will probably buy more! The hair can be defined and styled like a natural curl (although this hair is permed), and cut like a natural coil. The closer you get to the base the looser it is, as when I tapered it, you could see the partings of the hair and the sections it was curled in. Other than that it’s beautiful, somewhat affordable (compared to other textured manikins off Amazon at minimum $80) and a great way to practice coily hair (I’d consider this a 4b or 4c, although the hair typing system is useless anyway) until you work on real heads. Highly recommend (I am a cosmetology student)

My grand-daughter uses this to practice different hairstyles and she actually learned how to french braid using this mannequin.

I love this mannequin Head for braiding practice. Her hair texture is realistic, it’s just like mine. So pleasantly surprised in hair quality. The first photo is how it looks straight out of the package. The other photos are after shampoo and conditioner and some leave in conditioner. Minimal shedding as shown in the photo. I can’t wait to start practicing:). Get this doll!

Excellent for practicing coloring , styling and shaping Afro textured hair. Very authentic in tightly coiled hair texture. I am a licensed master cosmetologist I approve this mannequin 😊
