My dog loves it

I have an 11 year old doberman that has been fed with Oven Baked Tradition for years. At first it was oven baked chicken but she had some adverse reaction to that and someone recommended changing to fish, which solved the issues. Recently, my dog was not eating her kibble anymore. I had to buy the grain-free option at my local pet store as they ran out of the normal one, but that still didn't seem to please her. She would not eat unless I stayed in front of her and watched her and even then didn't eat with the same voracity that she usually has. I worried if she was suffering from a loss of appetite but she would still eat treats, veggies, cheese, bacon with no issues. I tried supplementing the food with fresh veggies (which she loves) but even that only worked for a day. So,I went online and looked for the best dry foods and this one came highly recommended. I got it this morning and fed it to my dog and she wolfed it down within seconds, like she usually does. She got hungry again about 5 hours later and she jumped up in excitement to get the food, she wolfed it down in seconds again so I gave her more and she ate all of that too. It's still day 1 but this looks like a winner, I was worried about my girl but it seems everything is back to normal.

Good ingredients although the product is rather expensive..

My dog absolutely loves Taste of the Wild Ancient Stream with Smoke-Flavored Salmon! She gets excited every time it's mealtime and eats every bite. Since switching to this food, I've noticed a significant improvement in her coat—it is noticeably shinier, softer, and healthier looking. I also appreciate that it contains quality ingredients and provides high protein for all life stages. It's reassuring to know she's enjoying a food that seems to support both her overall health and appearance. We've had no digestive issues, and she continues to do great on it. Great dogfood with solid ingredients that dogs need, especially if you have pups with allergies! This is the only brand we have been able to find that works well for all of our dogs from puppy to senior - French bulldog to Mastiff. If your pet has poultry allergies this food is such a great solution for you and your fur baby. So many salmon based dog foods only offer grain free varieties (which Taste of the Wild does offer too if you need it), and we didn’t grain free route for a long time because we were trying to find limited ingredient options to make everyone’s tummy’s happy. Something that surprised us was that contrary to popular belief, cutting all grains out of your dogs diet can cause serious issues as well if not done carefully. A lot of the ingredients grain free recipes substitute in for nutrients though can block the absorption of other nutrients your dog needs for heart health and circulatory system function. If your dog eats grain free now do a little digging online and see, we thought it was healthier for them for years but that isn’t the case for all breeds - don’t fall for the boutique food marketing and make sure you research those ingredients (or lack of). This food was the perfect solution for us because it gave us the salmon proteins with ZERO poultry filler (which in itself is hard to find). And also provided options with and without grain so we can ensure everyone gets to enjoy mealtime without compromises. It’s not the best deal but at the end of the day it is worth the extra cost for us, and we have 9 dogs so it goes quickly in our house. You can always use this as your foundation and build off of it with other healthy options or stock up on it when they run promotions or autoship incentives.

Our German Shepherd has doggy IBS and we have been on this for months now and he’s been doing the best he’s ever had. For the first five years of his life, he had to get allergy injections and now we no longer have to get those done. He’s not on any other medication. He just takes a joint supplement on top of his food as well as a doggy pre-and probiotic. As far as breath goes, it’s not too bad after they eat as compared to some other foods that aren’t even fish on the market. Their skin and coat looks immaculate and is in some of the best health I’ve ever seen. He is seven years old now.
