Multiple NA-YC1s can be daisy-chained to control more than two PWM fans via one header. The NA-YC1’s 4-pin connectors are compatible with both 3-pin and 4-pin PWM fans, but PWM control is only supported with 4-pin fans. Anyways, that spiraled into an entirely new build...here's my thoughts and a comment from Noctua. These are great! I had two concerns at first but these ended up working well. They were used to clean up a few loose wires in my Meshify C case. My initial concerns: - they looked to be too short (that's on me) - more importantly...one connector is 3-pin while the other is 4-pin Regarding the length, that was my bad. I could've ordered longer cables to begin with but these ended up being the perfect length. About the 4 vs 3-pin issue. I was worried the 3-pin wouldn't be able to variably control my PWM fans, so I wrote Noctua. They explained "Please note that the cable works as described for two 4 pin PWM fans. That is due to the fact that motherboard can process only one rpm-signal per fan header. It would cause problems if the cable transmitted rpm-signals of both fans. For this reason, one of the two connectors does not have an rpm wire and only the fan on the other connector will transmit an rpm signal. Automatic speed control of both fans will work independently from the second fan’s rpm signal." So, these get a 5 star for doing exactly what they're supposed to AND for a quick reply from Noctua.
