If you are looking for a Marshall tone with decent effects this is probably the best you can do for under $600. -The crunch/od channels get a nice range of the classic Marshall sound and beyond. -The clean tone is full-bodied and shimmery. -The effects are limited but have a decent quality. -Tone overall is good. You can feel the equalizing; heavy bass and/or deep mid-range and/or sharp treble are nice and pronounced. A great product for beginners and intermediates and not to bad for a practice amp for professionals.

I purchased this amp as I wasn't happy with the tones I was getting out of my Fender Mustang amp. I am very pleased with the tone and the effects. I don't use effects pedals so can't comment on how well they would work, but I would certainly recommend it as a starter amp.

I've had a lot of free time at home because I'm recovering from an accident, so I thought I'd pick up my guitars, which I haven't really had time for over the last several years. I wasn't happy with my old Line 6 amp, and wanted to upgrade, but I'm also not playing with anyone else, or planning on performing live, so I didn't want to break the bank. This was a perfect option. You get the quality of a Marshall with tons of sounds options, and you cannot beat the price. I recommend getting the pedal that allows you to switch between overdrive options without having to use your hands. Really helps when playing something that goes from clean to distorted, solos, etc. You can program it to your liking, or stick with the stock options they load into the amp. Takes a little work to get the sounds the way I like them, and I'm still experimenting with the delay options and stuff, but I highly recommend this if you're looking for a practice amp. It would also work for smaller live performances, especially if you mic it into a house system.

It's Marshal. It blasts the notes from my seven string. What else is there to say
