Great Figure
The figure is basically a pre assembled model kit, it has very little die cast parts, and it is not worth the $175, However it is still a great figure.I found it on sale for $105 which is a more acceptable price.

Optimus!!
This figure is worth the money.

Awesome looking alternate depiction of Optimus Primal, but not enough to justify the price.
The media could not be loaded. I grew up watching Beast Wars as a kid and rewatched it the last few months with my children after watching Transformers War for Cybertron: Kingdom. It was a fun way to introduce the characters and get them interested in Beast Wars.Furai has a line of Transformers model kits but I think their reimagining of Optimus Primal is one of their first ventures into action figures. I love the look and am happy with what they did with my favorite Maximal. The figure and accessories arrived very well protected and organized. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. There's no transformation so most of the instructions are identifying where to avoid rubbing paint off and how to put on the accessoriesI'm thoroughly impressed with the paint application of the figure. Primal's face and everything else is so crisp and cleanly panel lined. As with any figure you'll want to be cautious of rubbing when posing to avoid chipping the paint. The articulation is good. Not mind-blowing but gets the job done. No bicep swivel though, but had one on the arm. Shoulders, wrists, head, and waist have a full 360 degree rotation. Elbows and knees are double jointed, but leg joints at the waist are pretty limited.I took off a star because I don't feel the leg joints are tight enough to keep a complicated pose for long. They'll keep the figure upright well enough though. But I'd make use of the included stand if there's any possibility of it being bumped while on display. The only other complaint I have is the weight. For the price, I would expect more diecast parts adding heft to it to make it feel more solid. In general, Furai items are more expensive than Bandai. However, that's due to their manufacturing process. They use a more expensive method since Bandai has their molding system patented. Amazon has so far consistently carried the figure at retail or below. They do often offer it at a much lower price than retail. At the time of this original review it was at the best price Amazon had carried it so far: $159.60. *I've updated the review now to inform the lowest it was ever on sale for is $101.49, but then shot back up. I track and am alerted of Amazon price fluctuations on items I'm interested in through camelcamelcamel (it's free).*You get:- Optimus Primal figure- two large swords that attach to his back or can be held in hands- removable hip armor- two shoulder cannons- two twin arm cannons- two arm covers for when you remove the arm cannons- and the standThe alternate mask is not included through Amazon as that is part of an exclusive set sold elsewhere.

Over priced.
Completely over priced. Amazon originally cancelled my pre order but I stubbornly refused to accept that and bought it when it came in stock. I didn't know Amazon was only trying to look out for me. Not worth $200 at all. Not worth $150. Maybe $75-$100 could be excused.
