Nelson, and Zondervan need to stop using that new print that they call “comfort print “, it hurts my eyes, and I even checked with several other people, and they said that it hurts their eyes too. Please stop using it, I had to return different Bibles that I have purchased in the last year because that new so called “comfort print “, hurts eyes. The print that Thompson had previously, and the print that Nelson used back in the 1970’s was much easier on the eyes. The comfort print, which is not comfortable for me at all, gets a one star, the Bible itself gets a 5 star.

Great Resource! The Chain-Reference really helps to connect the dots with other relevant verses. Don’t worry it’s real easy to understand and use. Also has other added information in the margins that really help one to understand. Print is a nice size, Highly recommend this book as well as the Holman Illustrated Bible Dictionary. The two go great together. Blessings

Great size and information

This is a gorgeous Bible to read. The font is clear, the pronunciations of names are there, and the chapter headings tell you about what's in the chapter. There are a TON of Bible helps and topical references. It's not a perfect Bible however. For one, the pages are very thin, and so it's hard to keep flipping back and forth with such tissue-like paper. Also, unlike my Holman KJV Bible, the difficult words and phrases in the KJV are not footnoted. So far, only the Holman Bibles do that, so I can't really fault this Bible too much for that. However, its concordance is a bit weird, since there are some favorite passages I wanted to look up, and it does not include those words. I had to go to Strong's. But it's still worth it, because unlike other Bibles, which might have some subject indexes, this Bible has attempted a unique subject indexing scheme, where it "links" passages on the same topic. The topical index is also uniquely-arranged, but not exhaustive (a minor criticism). I feel whoever made this Bible did so with real reverence and care for the Word of our Lord.

The Chain Reference bible identified related verses throughout. But what I especially love is that this is almost a reproduction of the original 1908 edition...the typeface and hand drawn charts maps and illustrations are from that era. I am really enjoying this for verse mapping.

The Thompson Chain-Reference Bible (KJV) is a must have for anyone who enjoys the historicity of ancient antiquity and knowing the KJV is based on the Textus Receptus; one cannot go wrong with this purchase.

Eu fiquei um pouco decepcionado com essa Bíblia. Um defeito dela é que ela tem muito ghosting se comparado com a minha edição, também em inglês, da Thompson de 1964. As Thompson em inglês da década de 80 ou 90s é bem inferior se comparado as Thompsons de 1960 ou 70. Ainda assim essa Bíblia publicada pela Zondervan é melhor que as publicadas pela Kirkbride.Se você for comprar, espere sair o confort print e veja antes uns bons reviews pra não jogar dinheiro fora.Eu altamente recomenda a 5° edição da Bíblia Thompson. Tem alguns recursos extras que não estão disponíveis nas nossas Thompson em português.Que Deus abençoe a todos.
