Great for chalk paint
I’m going to be using this for chalk paint. For one cup of paint, I mix 2 tbsp of calcium carbonate with one tablespoon of water. Then I add to the paint and mix well.I just put two coats on a table and table leaf. I lightly sanded table and didn’t sand the leaf at all. The coats on both surfaces dried and adhered nicely and have a nice chalk finish to it (even with the paint being eggshell finish)I’ve still yet to actually sand it down to distress it so I will update when my kids let me go try it out.//Fun fact if you didn’t know, but Sherwin Williams sells nice sized (almost 2 pints) samples of paint for 8$ which is great if you’re going to be painting furniture and already know which color you want. Otherwise a half pint sample at Lowes and HomeDepot is 4$

Great. I use this in my homemade toothpaste and ...
Great. I use this in my homemade toothpaste and so far my teeth seem cleaner than ever (after 6 months). I can tell some areas of enamel are getting thicker so the calcium is helping to strengthen my teeth. The only downside is the package is not resealable and I only use a few tablespoons every couple months. But the bag is very thick and sturdy, I just fold it over and use a clothespin to keep shut.

in what some people deem boring..
I mixed my first gallon of paint today. For my all things Shabby White. in what some people deem boring... Whatever... However the end result from mixing to painting was a complete success. I contribute the successful mixing to my Ninja smoothie cup it was quick and no lumps and very creamy in texture.. I applied it to a dining chair unprimed over a gloss paint, which I allowed to dry for 24 hours. Much to my delight It came out beautifully.I used 4 cups of CC to 2 cups of tap water for a GALLON.. I did mix only a ONE HALF-GALLON at a time 8 cups of paint - 2 cups of CC and 1cup of tap water.

Worked great for homemade chalk paint!
If you're looking for a good calcium carbonate for making your own chalk paint, then you will love this product. The consistency is like baby powder. I've read about other brands having a grainy or sandy texture, so I was over the moon happy that this one is 100% powder formula & that it mixed into my latex paint super easily. My homemade chalk paint recipe: 8Tbs CC Power mixed w/ 4Tbs Water. Mix that into 1Qt of Flat latex paint. (Consistency is thin & smooth & perfect for running through a paint sprayer.)

Use in homemade toothpaste
I add this to my home made toothpaste recipe and it is awesome! I definitely think that since I have been making my own toothpaste my teeth have gotten noticeably whiter. Dentists used to say that there was no way to strengthen your teeth and rebuild the enamel, but they are changing their tune now and I think that diet and natural tooth cleaning methods are the way to help with all of that. I add this along with activated charcoal, bentonite clay, essential oils and baking soda to coconut oil and it is perfect. This sized bag will last me years and years (yes, literally) and make it so much more efficient than buying those expensive toothpastes that still have crap in them.

Used for making chalk paint - IT WORKS.
Using to mix chalk paint and it worked great! Getting compliments on my old gray now new purple rocking chair all the time. NOTE to Chalk painters: I mixed this VERY well. But still when I got down to the bottom of my paint container there were little specks/balls of white CC that started to show on my chair. I realize I need to just make more, but also I just tapped the spots with the tip of my brush and they melted into the paint and disappeared.

Great for DIY chalk paint that's not as hard as paint made with plaster of paris … but that's a good thing
Chalk paint made with calcium carbonate isn't as hard as chalk paint made with plaster of paris, but that's a good thing. I painted my DIY sliding door with some beige paint made with the plaster then painted over it with the green calcium carbonate paint and sanded through the green to reveal the edges and wood grain of the pine boards. Chalk paint dries quick so the whole painting and sanding project took only about 90 minutes.

Easy to use for tomato plants
Easily used (1 heaping tablespoonful) on the potting soil of tomato plants to prevent stem-end rot. In powder form, easily beats having to grind up oyster shell calcium tabs to make a slurry for this purpose. Scoop on this powder and water directly on it when the fruit first appears. Effectively prevents stem-end rot.

Works fine, though bag not resealable
You definitely get a lot of calcium carbonate in this bag. I used it in a pore cleanser powder and it works fine. My only issue is that the bag is not resealable, so be ready to put it in another container once you open the bag. Still, that is nitpicking so I give the product five stars nonetheless.
