why no 7MM hex? does anyone know of a kit like this with a 7MM hex?

Cause they want you to buy something else

is this a single piece of metal bent over into the handle? I need to know what is embedded in the plastic handle.

The hex head and shaft are solid piece of metal. The handle the shaft goes into is plastic. They work pretty good but if you really had to torque something tight i think the handle would break from the shaft. But there not made for torque anyway.

No these do not have a hollow tip.

Do these have rounded tips?

They do not have rounded tips until u use them a few times. I maintenance on power tools so I got these for mainly that purpose. They are very weak steel as I have stripped off most of the points already. Spend the money and get a quality set with a warranty.
