How thick is the cord?

In its relaxed state, it's 1/8". I bought it to repair a pair of pant that the zipper tab broke, but the cord is too thick to fit thru

It's been more than 5 years since I bought mine and they are/were a good product. My packaging says "Made in China".

It DOES OPEN pull both sides out with fingernails, but poorly designed. Even manufacturer doesn’t understand the product, as it does open

It does open as mentioned but it is NOT INTENDED to be opened to use. That is just a function off production. The initial run opened but that was several years ago. Length was added to the cord to allow it to be attached without having to open it.

Is there a video showing how to open, especially reading of it being a very common issue problem?

Hello. Thank you for your interest in our products. The zipper pulls are not made to be opened. You simply pass the cord loop through the hole in the zipper and then tuck the head of the pull through the resulting loop.
