This is an update to my last review.I hung the flute in my basement for a couple of weeks and whatever it was that smelled so strong is gone now.I think it was whatever oil they use to seal the wood/finish.It is fine now. No strong smell at all.Plays great. It is an excellent flute.

Simple, warm, smells great. The notes are easy to finger and play true. This is not a show piece. Just a good way to breathe a tune.
