I bought this product and was very happy. Worked well and did exactly what I wanted. A month later though and it started to rust on the screws underneath. This then tainted the ice and left a metallic taste to n any drinks you used it on. Contacted seller and was told that this is because I had put it in a dishwasher. After contacting them twice to say I had not (twice because the first time they ignored me), they then replied saying that it was because it had been in contact with moisture. Moisture!!! It’s supposed to be used to crush ice so obviously it will come into contact with moisture. Product not fit for purpose and the seller couldn’t care less about their customers. I bought this when I first started needing crushed ice for cocktails. I didn't want to get an expensive £100 machine that I wasn't sure I was going to use, so this seemed much better value. It is good value, but of course you get what you pay for, because this isn't a sturdy machine and it is hard to use (you need strength and you need to anchor it to stop your force knocking it sideways). If you're going to use it once a week to make crushed ice for a couple of drinks then it's perfect and it'll save you lots of money. If you think you're going to use it more than that then perhaps invest in something better. Mine served me well for two years before finally breaking. I've used it regularly and know I will continue to do so, so I'm going to treat myself to something better, but this has been a good machine.

This item is perfect for crushing ice

The product looks good when unpacking but found it impossible to turn ice cubes into "crushed Ice".I consider my husband to be a man with more than average strength but he could not turn the handle. I returned the item and had to pay the postage but they refunded me lass than the item's original cost.The only way to for this to make crushed ice is to find a way to chop up the ice cubes before placing in the machine. It WILL NOT make crushed ice from a full ice cube.
