Samurai line is unlike any other braided line on the market. Sure it's strong and sensitive, but it's also noticeably thinner, softer, smoother and more flexible than ordinary braids. That means less friction for better casts; reduced line noise on the retrieve; and a faster sink rate due to less current resistance. Available in 150-yard, 300-yard and 1500-yard spools. Review: Five Stars - Awesome stuff, smooth and rather quite though the guides. Review: Five Stars - Feels great, tested it and it works great.

Different Class Of Braided Line
I'm still sizing this braid up and will adjust it's rating in the future as appropriate, but initial impressions are excellent. Until recently most of my fishing was light line, freshwater - now its both light and heavy saltwater. I've purchased miles of line from all the usual suspects, PP, SPWR, SUFX, etc in an effort to find the right line for me, my gear, my style and mechanics. This line draws the best attributes from each, with none of their flaws. It's thinner than all of them for a given pound test, yet ive had fewer breakoffs. Its a tighter weave than the others but feels much smoother to the touch, it's also not as stiff right off the spool, so no break-in period. The color hasn't faded at all after a few months of use. Because of its relative diameter, it marginally outcasts the others for distance (doesn't match the distance of gliss or nanofil), but this is where I've had some issues. Because it's less stiff than the others, casting into a crosswind leaves less margin for error, and I've been getting more unrecoverable wind knots with this line. I've shortened and used a lighter leader which has improved things a bit, so maybe some more tweaking will help, and its probably not fair to take a star away for that - half star would be better. There's no doubt whatsoever that this is the best braided line I've ever used - which maybe just speaks to my naivety. It's a bit more expensive than it's braided brethren, but it should be, because it's better line. I know there are still more expensive braids out there that I have yet to try, and I'll get to them eventually. But for most use cases, this braid just outclasses it's competition.

Remember it is thin and strong; great garrote
Very thin and strong. Difficult for an older person to handle but I got the job done. Used a lot of backing, first cloth, then mono and joined them. The amount on the spool is adequate, but I should have used more backing or bought out the store of the Samurai LOL. More than adequate to get the job done, although I have not used it extensively yet.
