I had heart surgery a year ago ( my sternum is held together with weird twist tie things) and my Dr wanted me to wear one when I ride my street bike.Its better quality than I thought it would be and hides easily under clothes.

I just had open heart surgery and wanted some protection for my chest. This is very comfortable and fits very well. I will be wearing it when riding on the street and even wear it when driving my car. Highly recommended..

Looks cool. Looks like the picture. However the insulation behind the cheap plastic front is minimal and wouldn't protect you from anything and all the holes go straight through. So if anything like sticks or rocks hit the holes it goes straight to the chest. I'm probably going to make a level one plate and mount it on the back of the front so it would actually protect me from something. Otherwise I wouldn't trust this to protect you from anything going faster than 20 miles an hour. The other thing that bothers me is all the rivets go from outside to inside so it's like holding metal pins to your chest. If something hits those the shock is not going to be distributed it will go straight through and pinpoint the pressure which is the opposite of what body armor should do. Only buy this if you are prepared and knowledgeable enough to modify it to make it useful.
