Well made and great value
This is probably the best value multitool in its price bracket.I've had a couple of budget brands, both of which have been excessively noisy and had mechanical failure of the locking mechanism. This is much quieter and the locking mechanism is of a much better design. It's also got less vibration in the hand.I've only cut wood with it so far but it worked a treat giving clean, accurate cuts and is very easy to handle. Both my other multitools came with hard cases and loads of accessories for around the same price as this one. This only has a bag and a couple of accessories but trust me you're better off buying this and the accessories you need separately.I've no idea how long it will last but it certainly feels like a quality piece of kit.

Really good tool and excellent value for money
This WESCO tool is very good. The feel and use are good and not too heavy. I have a DeWalt version of this type tool (DWE315), and it is excellent and a better product than this Wesco product – hence a 4 star review. The reason I bought the WESCO is that I wanted a second tool for another home. Being a second home, my needs were less than with my primary home. I would have bought another DeWalt, but I could not justify the cost. The WESCO is about half the DeWalt cost and Amazon had a 15% reduction offer on top of that. I offer some points of note here for other potential buyers:The DeWalt tool exchange mechanism is better, but the WESCO option is not a bad alternative. If you are looking to buy this type tool you will see DeWalt, Stanley & Black & Decker with the same type tool exchange mechanism. That’s because they are all part of the parent company and share their intellectual property. You will see the WECSO mechanism on WORX tools and others – that’s because these all are part of the company POSITEC.The WESCO tool takes multiple different blades on the market – this is great. I bought the WESCO with this as a primary reason – I can now buy a blade set and share across both tools I have. The WESCO light might as well not be on the product – it has so little illumination that its worthless. The DeWalt light is excellent. The DeWalt had a paddle type switch – the more you press the speed varies. It then has a lock hold the switch on for lengthy use. The WESCO tool has an on off switch with a rotation wheel at the back end for speed variance. The DeWalt style is a better choice, but the WESCO style is not a bad alternative. Both Tools came with a canvas carry case which is adequate but not great. You can get the DeWalt with the TStack style case – but the price jumps up.Both offer a sanding option – note that oscillating multitools are not good sanders. I can’t fully explain why, but I have a hunch. A normal random orbital sander works in a figure of 8 type motion and does it in a random sequence. The oscillating multitools wave back and forth by just a couple of degrees i.e. constant motion – not random. I think this motion causes the Velcro on the sanding pad to heat up much more than the orbital sander (because of its random nature). With the intense heat the sanding attachment wears out very quickly.Bottom line – depending on your needs both DeWalt and WESCO are good options. DeWalt is superior if you can afford it and are likely to use the tool frequently. WESCO is more than adequate for occasional users. If you don’t have one of these tools, I cannot praise the concept enough – it is by far the most versatile power tool I have. If you are thinking of buying one of these for sanding – I suggest you look at a dedicated delta sander. I have one of these – the one I bought was FERM DSM1009 on Amazon. Its good value and more than adequate for casual use. One reviewer said the WESCO was not powerful enough, I expect they did not realise that the speed rotation wheel was at a low setting. I say this as I physically compared the DeWalt and WESCO and there is no real difference in power, both have a 300W motor and perform similarly in that regard.

Very happy with it
Was in need of an oscillating tool for some jobs around the house. Part of it was lifting a cork floor that a previous occupant of my house had glued to the garage floor. I decided to spend a bit more on this one as it had quick release for changing the cutting tool. Having owned a drill years ago that required an Allen key to change the bit, I vowed never to get involved in that nonsense again. It lifted the floor fine. Needed to sand some of the glue marks off, and the sander on this is just ok really. Nowhere near what a tool designed just for sanding would be, but works ok.For wood cutting, it's probably not quite as good as a regular saw, but it does the job well enough. Also does the job where a lot of saws won't fit. It's absolutely fantastic for getting into awkward corners. The same doofus that had glued cork.to.the garage floor had nailed an awful shelf to it's wall too. Haven't been able to get rid of it as I can't get the nails out, and fear pulling it will bring a bit of wall too. I fired this guy up and chopped the nails. Goodbye stupid shelf.Really happy with it, wish I'd have stretched to a cordless one but this is fantastic for the price. I'd factor in buying new attachments at some point, but that would be the case with anything like this. The quick release system isnt quite as easy as the DeWalt one, but it works easy enough and quick enough. There's another one on Amazon for around £30, but I'd spend a bit more and get this one. Any of these tools without quick release are a waste of time.

Excellent value for money!
This oscillating multi-tool works just as well as those that cost three times as much.
