This is a great resource for designers! My only gripe is that I bought it new and it wasn't shrink-wrapped and came without the CD so not sure what I would be missing out on there. The info in the book itself makes it more than worth it though.

I love this book. I never gave thought to the specifications that were needed to create garments but since I began taking fashion courses along with costumes for different things that I go to, this book has helped me see a different light. The technical side is so informative and knowing where to start for help on sizes is like wow. I'm glad that I was looking on Amazon for something else and this book appeared and I noticed, read upon it and knew I had to get it. Thank you so much to Michele Wesen Bryant for making it available.

This book only provides technical designs and exhibits how garments are supposed to be measured, but it doesn't go further than that. One would expect at least some grading guidelines, but they are not included; however, size charts are provided. A book that is supposed to show you how to write a spec sheet should definitely have some grading guidelines, so i don't really recommend this book, unless grading is not your concern.If you are looking for a book with complete information on size specification, i recommend you the Complete Guide to Size Specification and Technical Design.
