Why a unicorn? Because as far as I know there is no smart-TV that has a gigabit connection natively. And when streaming from my HTPC at 4k I was getting stutter despite the fact that my network is build around Gigabit connection and I've wired it using Cat 7. I had already purchased a USB-Gigabit dongle from a different vendor and while it worked for a while it was constantly loosing the IP address I had assigned. After checking the lease length and the MAC address reservation I gave up after several weeks. I will say that the vendor just gave me a full Amazon credit without any issues. This leads me to believe that they knew there was a problem. Since none of the dongles go into what chip sets they use I had to get creative in my search. I went about this by looking at the positioning of the network lights. If they were in the same place as the one giving me problem I passed on them. The other issue was the case material. The prior unit has a plastic case that would get very warm so I wanted one that had better heat dissipation. The led me to this one. I have had it connected to my network for over 2-months now and I have had 0 issues! Speed tests show at or close to 1 Tb speeds and I have yet to drop a connection. The only thing that is odd is that the MAC address is 02:00:00:00:00:00:00:00 which usually indicates a custom ROM. Since this isn't causing issue on my network I am ignoring it for now. All in all this is a cheap, well made, and stable network dongle to give your TV 1 Tb connectivity for streaming.

It works as advertised. Upgraded my provider Service to 500mbs. Then discovered my PC ethernet card was card was rated at only 100mbs. Solution was this device. Connection way easy. Plugged it in to a USB port and my Ethernet cable and bam!! 500+ mbs all day long. Problem solved. I'm using a windows 11 home version. No drivers needed. No reason have a new ethernet card installed or buy a new PC and pay big bucks to a repair center. I would buy this metal encased version rather than the plastic cased version, for a few dollars more. It is more sturdy.

Plug and play works well

Purchased this a few years back when it was the black exterior design. Recently bought another since I needed it for a spare device, but turns out it was incompatible (the old one worked just fine). I was trying to hardwire a laptop using the black Ethernet adapter from a Lenovo Smart Clock and using the one I purchased for the Lenovo Smart Clock which didn't work. Ended up having to swap both (the new adapter to the laptop and keep the old one for the Lenovo Smart Clock).

I have an ASUS ROG Strix B550-I motherboard for a computer build I completed in Jan 2021. the Intel I-225V ethernet adaptor kept failing on me, and I had issues with where my computer is in the house with wifi. I have done ALL of the recommended Intel and Reddit thread tasks to try and restore the ethernet adapter to a functioning state. Only after leaving a company and handing in old equipment, I remembered seeing a USB to ethernet adapter, and picked this one up. I have gig speed internet at home, and while this does not allow me to get the full gig up/down speed, I can get 600-700 Mbps up/down, which is more than what I need. When my Intel I-225V would occasionally work, I had to throttle the speed to 100Mbps to get a more stable connection, as anything faster would constantly kill the ethernet adapter and make me flip to wifi, which at my end of the house is terrible (60Mbps up/down). Would highly recommend for anyone who has ethernet adapter issues with their motherboard.

A small USB3.0 adapter, very well made casing. The signal light is white and some may find it too bright, but it can be covered by some semi-transparent tape if it bothers you. It works really well with my raspberry 5 adding an extra gigabit connectivity option. The performance is as expected, compatible with all my devices. The adapter device id is 0b95:1790. It is made in Vietnam and features AX88179 Gigabit Ethernet Controller chip made in Taiwan, so safe and easy to use.

I have a battered old Toshiba laptop and the best speed I could ever get out of its Ethernet port connected to my Tenda Mesh Node was 90 Mbps. I plugged this in and was absolutely astonished to get nearly 890 Mbps! I have never achieved anywhere near those speeds on my fibre connection, even plugged into the router. Even more impressive is that this particular node is the furthest away from the router. I cannot recommend this product enough. Well done Amazon!

相当に熱くなるとのレビューが散見されたが、このレビュー直前に購入したロットでは問題無かった。わずかに暖かくはなるが、感覚的に数百mW程度と極普通だ。 動作も問題なく、早々にルーターとの直結で大活躍してくれた。 確かに動作表示LEDは眩しすぎる。電流の流し過ぎだ。このあたりはハードウェア設計者の責任。

Seit es keine RJ45 Buchsen an den PCs mehr gibt (Microsoft HDG sei Dank), ist das notwendig, um die Bandbreite eines Netzanschlusses voll nutzen zu können. Dieses kleine Gimmick stellt an einem USB3.0 Anschluß eine Verbindung dar, die 150Mb/s realisieren kann - wahrscheinlich auch mehr. Klein und handlich zu einem guten Preis.
