Swift Stream Z-9 Camera Drone, Black

I am no pro when it comes to drones, but I have flown many micro drones and know how to maneuver these around. I'd been wanting one with a camera just to toy with. Size wasn't that big of an issue. I just happened to see this and figured why not!First off, the flight. I think my fight time thus far has been approximately 3 minutes. No where even remotely close to the 7 minute advertised time. Now maybe without the camera it would prolong it, but the FPV was one of the perks! As for actual flight, it's not so hot. It's pretty sluggish overall with some dead-zones in the joysticks. For a beginner this probably would be OK, but for someone with any experience, even the high setting is painfully slow. What also bothers me is how it won't respond at times. One flight I was lifting off. I released the throttle and it continued to go higher and higher for another second before I heard the motors slow down. I'm not looking for perfection, I fully understand this doesn't cost thousands of dollars with GPS and all built in, but I still expected a bit more out of it than this.As for the camera...the FPV is as I expected. Video gets choppy pretty quickly with dropped frames. The video also gets washed out very easily. But what's most concerning to me is the (double?) misprint in the description. It's stated you can "save all of your photos and video on an included 2MB memory card". I assumed this was a type and it came with a 2GB card which went into the camera, which would be great! That way if there is any frame drops or whatnot through FPV, they would still be recorded on the card within the camera. Nope... The only way to save videos is through the FPV app.So yeah, I really can't recommend this at all. If it flew better, I might be willing to purchase more/better batteries. If it flew longer, I might willing to overlook the sluggish control. But as it stands, it really can't do much right. And once you've worked around all its quirks, it's time to charge it up again!

I'm a beginner, this is my first drone. Packaged well, easy to setup (had to install landing feet and camera). Really easy to fly for a beginners. It has a take off button and a landing button and it auto hovers. The auto hover is really nice, it makes fling really easy. I'm not sure how far I can get yet as I have not pushed it that hard. I'm guessing I've flown it as high as the tree tops so far. The camera works pretty good, it lags sometimes and the picture quality isn't the best but for the price I paid I can't complain. Great beginner drone.

This is an awesome toy at the price point. I have never flown a drone before this one but I can guess if u were to spend $100 you would expect a lil more from it but at this Amazon price its so much bang for your buck!! It seems to have connectivity issues but once u get it synced it flys extremely well! I fly it with my 4 year old son and since most reviews don't speak too highly of the camera function I've never tried it. So can't speak on if the quality of camera. But if you are just looking for a cool toy to have some fun with then you will not be disappointed. It is very light and will blow in directions you don't want if there is any wind out so stay away even with a lil wind u just might lose it if you can't control it well. Overall I love mine as a toy for my son and I am very pleased. Is it perfect? No, but at this price I will be buying another just in case my son breaks it or flys it away on accident lol. Would not recommend for the full retail price but at 70 percent off the price is a must buy! Would make a great gift as wellUpdate: so I've tried the camera and come to the conclusion that the software is just not done well enough to operate consistently and maintain the performance of the drones flight. With camera installed it has major communication issues and kind of does whatever it wants. I removed the camera completely and it flys and connects so well I am still pleased with my purchase. If u are looking to utilize the camera function on your drone this may not be the one for you, but if you enjoy just flying them around for fun this is an incredible buy at the price!

I'm rating this a 4 for now because it did take me 2 days after reading the instructions over and over to sync the controller. This was bought as a Xmas gift for my husband and we both had difficulty getting the controller to sync. I wish there was more informational videos to go by. I will update my review as we actually get to fly this when the weather is decent enough.

There is no positive control over the motors. Once you hit take off mode you cannot just ease the throttle off. It doesn't respond to the throttle inputs which makes it very dangerous. You shouldn't have to hit the land mode button to bring it down....if I could give it minus 5 stars I would. The cheaper models are far better and offer the same camera features as this one. I would not buy again nor recommend this to anyone just learning to fly a drone.....

Had one that got caught up in the wind and flew away, but nice enough to replace and try again! Fun! But avoid windy days- duh
