Any recommendations for how to wash/clean these, or do you use them straight out of the package?

They are natural wood. No need to wash. If you want to, just a toothbrush and water.

Is the bolt and ring nut stainless steel?

I am not sure. I have noticed some discoloration with the washers. But nothing around the wing nut or the post it attaches to.

What size are the screws because I need more washers?

I have tried to attach picture to no avail. They attach with wing nuts

What tpe of wood are these made from?

All I know is that it is all natural wood. No additives, or paint. As fas as what kind of wood I don't know. It has to be a hard wood of some sort.
