These days, if you have a slot for an NVMe, get that. If all you have is SATA, get this. Fast transfer, no moving parts and if you are replacing an old spinning hard drive, this will make your machine feel like a much newer version of that same machine. The difference between a spinning hard drive and the SSD is really big.Drives like this are cheap now. If you can remove your old drive, this one just slots in the exact same way. Super easy to install. Once installed, you treat it like any other drive, spinning or now. Works with all Windows and Linux type computers that have a SATA port.

I purchased the Patriot Burst Elite 120GB SSD to use as a dedicated drive connected to my ASUS router running ASUSwrt-Merlin, primarily to store and run various scripts. Bought three of these to use in a NAS, and after 1 month, I experienced failures on only one of the drives. Patriot’s customer support quickly helped me get the drive RMA’d. The drives aren’t anything special in terms of read/write speeds and cache, but affordable if you need some flash storage on a small scale. Will try to update my review as I monitor their longevity.

I bought this to replace the mechanical hard drive in a friends old Lenovo laptop. She was complaining that it took so long for her laptop to boot up, that she could go do her chores while waiting. Before I replaced the drive, I wiped it clean and installed Linux Mint on it. That helped, but it was still pretty slow.I thought, for the low price of less than $12.00, it couldn't hurt to try a solid state drive. WOW. Pretty zippy for a drive that costs less than a wired mouse! I was amazed at how quickly the new operating system installed and how fast it now boots, 30 seconds versus many minutes.Completely silent. An easy one to one replacement with the original drive, for about the cost of a 64GB thumb drive.All I can say is: WOO HOO!

Worked fine out of the box. Didn’t have to do any special partitioning to get it to work. Simply popped it in my ASUS laptop and booted from a windows 11 USB. I didn’t check the speed, but it’s way better than the old HDD. I’d absolutely buy another one to bring some life into old electronics.

Bought this for the quality factor as their SSDs have a better reputation on the entry range. Speeds peak to about 450MB/s write. If you're into doing magic tricks of trying to do long distance item bilocation, moving this SSD across to another person location didn't result in tin whiskers or other issues from such travel.Overall the SSD has better alignment for drive bays or laptops so QA is great if you had other SSDs having fit issues. At a peak read speed of 530MB/s it's the fastest entry-level SSD I've used.
