Perfect for sourdough starter. I love the look, size, lid, and everything about these jars. I like using glass for my starter and like that the size of these jars allows for bigger batches to be made at one time (with one jar). I like that the lid can either be placed on top or snapped with the clips, making it easy to leave out when your starter is rising or sealed up in the fridge. Great quality, nice and thick glass which will hold up to washes and constant use.

I love my Weck jar! It’s the perfect jar and lid for the finicky sourdough starters! It’s roomy and pretty and looks great on the counter. I love how the lid just sets on it making it easy but I love that I can seal it too!

Purchased this for my sour dough starter. I love the details on the jar and the durability. It’s held up to multiple washings and is the perfect size for my starter. I have not used the sealing ring only because I haven’t needed it. Will buy more jars in the future.
