Hey, I am a BIG fan. I got “pink and white” powder dip professionally- and needed to do my own nails afterwards. ( I also have the ASP gel polish mini nail kit with led lamp from SALLY’s.) BUT taking the polish off - especially after “dip” is a pain. I didn’t want to go to the salon- so I bought this YaFex Nail Drill kit on Amazon after checking out RPM etc. To turn it off - I hold down the on button for a few seconds. One touch reverses the drill direction- hold down longer to turn it off. I got this kit because the light and the stand make a lot of sense even though I store it in the box between uses. My second time to use it was last night and I sanded the gel polish off from last time- lots of gel dust on my tray- but smoothed nails ready to polish. Also, it comes with a little bag of sanding things for the drill. That’s all I’ve needed. I had been pestering my husband to find his Dremel in the garage- and finally said- hey, what’s on Amazon. This is perfect for my needs, and I will save money. I need gel polish for the lasting quality and it makes my nails so much stronger. Also, the deep quality of the shine beats regular nail polish many times over. 😎 obviously I’m impressed.

If you’re thinking about getting this one because it’s more affordable than most of the other ones but it’s not so dinky that it doesn’t have a good control of the speed and looks like it’ll break in 10 uses or less, do it. This drill is extremely well built for $40 bucks and it’s got the dial to control the speed and the light. Instructions are pretty clear on how to assemble and use it. The drill itself feels well balanced and easy to hold. It doesn’t vibrate much on high speeds and has a holder for the drill and the drill bits. The only thing is the drill doesn’t have a locking system for the drill and drill bits, the drill bits are just pushed into it. Not a bad thing necessarily but surprising to me as someone who is used to the twist to lock drills. Overall, it’s great, organized, and beginner friendly. The perfect tool to have at home.

I’m not a professional nail tech, so I can’t speak to the way this machine would perform in a salon setting. I bought it so I could learn to do my own gel nails because I’m a starving artist with kids, and I don’t get luxuries often. This e-file is great for gel nails, but if you’re a first-timer to e-files like I was, I heartily recommend you watch a few video tutorials before you start so you won’t damage your nails or skin. There’s a reason people pay professionals to get their nails done: it requires knowledge and skill. You need to learn first. Once I’d watched tutorials, I had no problem using this file for cuticles, shaping, and gel removal. Start on the lowest speed setting for your first few uses so you can get the hang of it.

I have only had this about a week but I am so in love. I would definitely recommend this item and have listed the pros and cons. Pros: Easy to use, lightweight, no vibration, stays cool. I have bought a couple of the $20 cheap ones and thought they were great. Now I realize they big down causing me to gouge and dig my nails. I found myself needing to use pressure with them. This file glides over your mail with the speed and power to actually take off my dip without pressing. It doesn’t bog down, I have yet needed to turn this file up past 2000. No vibrations so I can just glide it across the mail, never heating up. One con. The light is heavier than the base so it tends to tip over. Definitely love this file!!

So.. it worked for a whole 5ish minutes before it started making a horrible grinding sound and getting super hot- Next time I attempted it (only used 3 times cuz it pisses me off every time) the noise would go in and out and didn't get hot that time,And the final time- it won't go up past number 3! It completely dies off!! Won't spin, won't make any noise, nothing! You turn it back down all way and it'll start spinning and grinding something fierce! I am super upset- I've tried emailing soon as I got it and heard nothing back. If something were to change I would change my review! I buy a TON of nail things from Amazon, this is the FIRST issue I've ever had. Soon as I can try to figure out how to do a video I'll put one up! Thanks for reading! UPDATE- Company reached out & offered to replace it- I'm happy that their trying to right a mistake. Again- I liked the design, light is very bright, I've literally got NO complaints except this just randomly dying out. But I've got a friend who's got one and hers is still going strong, that being said they are not one of those 'faulty' company's! Thanks for reading, and sorry so long!

This nail drill exceeded my expectations! I’ve never used a professional nail drill before, but wanted to invest and start saving money from the salon. After days of looking at different drills, reading many reviews, this one seemed to be one of the best and for a great price! It’s light weight, but not too light that it’ll move around while in use. The drill itself is easy to hold and not bulky. I love that it has many speeds from gentle to pretty powerful. It also came with a small manual that shows what each drill bit is for and that was very helpful! Using this drill doing my first pedi myself was a success! Definitely recommend.

I was a little skeptical about this drill since there weren't many reviews but the light and compact design won me over. I'm so glad I gave it a chance because I really like it. It's fast and very powerful, even at low speeds. I ordered some ECBasket ceramic diamond carbide bits to use with it and they work perfectly together. I love the fact that it has a light so you can see what you're doing clearly. It's rather noisy but that doesn't bother me. I actually find the sound kind of soothing lol. 😌

I really like the concept that they came up with with the lights so you can see your nails really good but the drill they attached to that light set is garbage I used it once and it’s broken. The drill seized the second time I went to use it don’t waste your money by yourself a table lamp instead of using that and buy a decent drill.
