Natural Whitening Activated Charcoal Powder for Teeth and Gums (Spearmint)

Okay, I don't know about you, but I'm a pretty skeptical review-reader and Amazon purchaser. When I see a product like this that's kinda weird and it doesn't have a LOT of reviews, but they're all positive, I tend to assume that any of the non-veeified purchases are fake reviews. But I have really sensitive teeth, and normal whitening products make my mouth SO sore, and I find leaving them on for 20 – 40 minutes (depending on the type) really inconvenient. Plus they're stupidly expensive. So I figured "why not?" I'll buy the weird charcoal mouth powder. It's cheap, so worst case scenario I get to laugh at my boyfriend when I make him try it. Win-win. So I used it for the first time today, and I have renewed hope and optimism in life! This stuff is amazing. I put a little on my wet sonic toothbrush and just brushed like I normally would with toothpaste. Took a bit longer to rinse my mouth, toothbrush, and sink, but who cares? It's not a 20-minute strip of bleach and cling wrap on your teeth. So I finally let myself check in the mirror, and holy s***! My teeth are already visibly whiter. I'm blown away. It seriously is more noticeable than one treatment of any whitening strip I've ever used. I unfortunately did not take a before pic, so I know seeing my teeth isn't very helpful, but I drink a LOT of coffee, and this actually is a noticeable improvement for me (I know, I know, for shame). Anyway, if you too are a skeptical purchaser, from one cynic to another: this stuff is actually great. Pros: • a little goes a long way: this tub will probably last me a year • quick: no longer than normal brushing • effective: whiter teeth after one application • taste: slightly minty, not at all chalky like I expected Cons: • after taste: may want to follow with mouthwash or a tiny quick pass of toothpaste if you want a better after taste

After using the product, it whiten your teeth you just gotta keep at it good product. It does what it says it will do. It says to keep the charcoal powder dry so I use a 1/4 teaspoon stainless steel measuring spoon and apply it to the toothbrush after the toothbrush is wet for the product to stick before brushing

I have spent quite some time looking for a good tooth whitening charcoal with mainly natural ingredients and I think this one is a great find ! It is not overpriced and the ingredients are great ! The powder is grey not black and very light. The mint smell is very delicate and there is no taste at all which is great. As other reviewers have mentionned the abrasive effect of this kind of products, I have been using it very cautiously to prevent damaging my sensitive teeth. Here is my routine : I first brush my teeth with the charcoal as recommended. I rince. Then I brush my teeth again with my regular toothpaste (without the charcoal). Then I floss twice with regular flossing and water flossing and then I rince my mouth. This way, I do not have any residue between my gums because as the powder is very thin, it is true that it goes between the teeth but with a very good wash I do not have any issue at all. I first used it once daily but realised my teeth had become more sensitive so I am just using it once in a while now and I feel much better. But I must say that when I use the charcoal, I have a very great sensation in my mouth afterwards !!! my teeth and mouth feel very clean and fresh and I really see a difference in the color of my teeth too which is amazing especially considering I only use it once in a while !!! As we can all guess, brushing ones teeth with a dark powder is messy but it doesn’t stain my sink at all and rinces very well with just water so there’s no need for a complete bathroom clean up after each use !! I also have implant teeth and they are not stained at all by this charcoal. So I can say this is a great, very natural and really efficient product but that have to be used with care for sensitive teeth. I would definitely buy it again !!!

Not bad. It certainly does its job as a tooth cleaner, but I didn't see much in the way of whitening. I used it for several weeks to give it a fair go, and ended up enjoying it because it gives the teeth a nice polish, without feeling as harsh (or tasting as gross!) as baking soda. I have since gone back to my old toothpaste for the whitening effect, but will continue to use this every so often for the polish. I also really appreciate that it doesn't cause any sensitivity like some whiteners. Be warned that it is a mess. For some reason it doesn't just wash down the sink with water, you have to actually wipe it out or your sink is a gray spattered mess.

Seems to work as intended , I think it makes a difference . The flavor is not unpleasant.

This stuff is very messy. It's a powder, not like tooth paste, so it flies all over the sink, faucet and mirror. Would have to clean my bathroom after each use, so into the garbage can it goes. Sorry, just not a fan of cleaning bathrooms.
