Does what the manufacturer claimed.
In terms of feel/ touch, when dry the material felt more like latex than acrylic medium. As suggested, the hardened paste can be sanded and that's what I was counting on.

The Material is a Versatile Tool
Love, love, love this stuff. A little goes a long way. I'm using it on 3D sculptures to add surface interest and to seal places. I could also use it to make a texture plate...wow -- the material is a tool.
