It works! (WARNING! Graphic descriptions follow!)
I know every medical professional tells me not to use Q-tips to clean my ears, but I do anyway. About 4 years ago, I started to have a problem with what seemed to be "wax" build-up in my ears. It coincided with a life change for me, living in a different place, among different people, doing different things than I normally do, so I thought it was just because of the new environment. It would grow worse and subside now and again, so I didn't pay it much attention. In about the past 2-3 months, back home now, it grew worse. I would wake up in the morning with one ear canal totally BLOCKED UP with wax, so much so that it affected my hearing.I debated purchasing this but I'm glad I did! I followed the instructions mixing warm water and white vinegar. It took a few tries to get the "feel" of what it was supposed to do, and though not painful, if you do not like "water in your ears" like me, it can be a bit disconcerting at first. Stick it out, though. I spent about 5 minutes noticing very little wax on the nozzle, and started the think it was a gimmick, but persevered, each time seeing a bit more. After about another 5-10 minutes "the dam burst" so-to-speak. I saw a HUGE blob of wax (and who knows WHAT else) sitting in my ear where it was washed out. I figured that must have been the worst of it, but continued only to have ANOTHER (albeit smaller) blob also wash out into the sink. All told, I bet the total amount of wax that was flushed out was easily a ball at least 1/2" in diameter. This was just ONE EAR (of course, it was my problem ear). WARNING! After that long, though, my ear canal may get a little sensitive to the force of the spray.I'm pleased with the results. My ears never felt so clean since I used to swim a lot before I got old and fat. The other ear showed similar results, although not NEARLY the amount of wax build-up. I found it best (for me) to put the clear "collar" right at the end of the hard plastic spray bottle nozzle, between it and the removable silicone nozzle. That was about the perfect spot for me to insert the silicone nozzle COMPLETELY into my ear while the collar "cups" my ear canal opening. Your ear may differ. Further, I highly recommend spending some TIME doing this the first time, 10-20 minutes to see results. It's going to take a lot of squirts to clean out that wax if you hadn't had it done in a while (or never had it done, as in my case). I also noticed that if you get that sustained "water in your ear" feeling and the water doesn't start draining out of your ear canal immediately (you'll hear it...plop, crackle, plop) then you've got more STUFF in there that needs to be washed out.I think it's a great system. I tend to like to stay "well-groomed" and don't mind the extra time adding it to my grooming regimen. So, moral of the story is IT REALLY WORKS!

Ease of use
Had to go to doctor for impacted ears. They used this and I was amazed (embarrassed). The catch tray (bowl) is a must and is an amazing pairing to really getting the job done. No more laying on your side for 5 minutes at a time for 10 times trying to get things done. The doctor had to refill the squirt bottle twice (so almost 3 bottles) to do both ears. Emptying the catch bowl about 6 or 7 times. Be sure to consult your doctor- of course. But what I do is use the warm peroxide water mix to soften things up, that’s 5 minutes once laying on my side and do one ear at a time. To be honest the doctor after identifying I had no infection (which could change things in a mitigation approach) went to work and a few of the squirts (pressure) were a little painful, right on the inner ear membrane. In the privacy of my own home I would never subject myself to that much blasting pressure. I’m sure there is a balance between getting the job done weighed against the possible irritating effects (I had none) of the water peroxide flushing. Each to their own but I would recommend a helper. Three hands are best. One for the catch bowl, one for the nozzle and one for the bottle/trigger. Ideally I would prefer to control my own squeezing of the trigger but that might not be doable for some. Just start slow but keep the flushing going. I also purchased the set of replacement nozzles. I very happy with my collective purchases regarding this product. Thumbs up

It Works
I was originally going to give this a 1 star rating because when I first tried it I didn't use it correctly. When the bottle arrived I opened it up and filled it with water and started using it. I didn't see the small baggie that had the 3 disposable tips. So one constructive criticism I would give the manufacturer is to label the baggie with the tips. They're the same color as the small bag they come in and they could be overlooked. When I used the bottle without the tip it ended up clogging my ear even more. Then I attached the tip and I got good results doing the following:* Filled the bottle with very warm water. (I think the warmer water may help loosen the ear wax and it feels good going in your ear as opposed to cold water.)* I inserted the tip in my ear and began spraying. I found that if you don't put the tip in too tight you get better results because that tiny space gives the ear wax room to drop out of your ears. Also the tips aren't that durable and if you press them too hard they bend.* Filled the bottle several times. Don't give up if you don't see wax coming out right away. It took two bottles before I saw little flakes of wax coming out and as other reviewers have said then I saw some surprisingly large pieces come out.* I removed the plastic washer behind the tip because I found that the tip has a better fit in your ear if that washer isn't in the way.* I used some Q tips to help remove the loosened wax. I know they say you're not supposed to put anything in your ear but I found using a few Q tips helped the process.* I pointed the bottle at different angles to make sure the water was hitting the wax in all parts of my ear.If you use this method you should get good results. The reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the tips aren't that strong and they tend to bend if you press them too hard. Overall a good and inexpensive product for removing ear wax.
