Q: Can the platform be secured to the backseat?

It is designed ti be secured to the front seats, and the platform part extends well across the back seat to the backrests. It does not normally secure to the back seats. (Guess you could try installing it backwards and attach to the back headrests, not a recommendation though)

Q: Will it fit 2017 toyota tacoma access cab?

It takes up all but 1 inch on my hyundai SUV, but I purchased this one because the others appeared to cover half the back seat. Access cab probably would say no

Q: Can this be secured without using the front seat barrier?

Yes it can. While you still must secure the longer straps around the headrests to prevent it from flopping into the floor board, if you leave the shorter straps for the center panel unsecured so the middle panel can be peeled back from its velcro attachment.

Q: Will this fill the gap between rear bucket seats on 2018 Tahoe?

It should! We encourage you cross reference the dimensions of the Pet Bridge with your vehicle. L 53 3/4" W 22 3/4"
