Too much to love!
This microwave arrived very quickly and was packaged well.Nothing to assemble, just put into position and you are ready to go.I love all things retro and especially green! This is such a nice colour and adds pop in my vintage style kitchen. I love the controls and how simple they are to use. You basically just choose the settings on the upper dial and then dial the minutes in at the bottom. You can also set according to weight and that is easily explained in the accompanying booklet. It cooks beautifully and evenly. It has a really nice bright light inside too.I'm very happy with the size. I had a really large one and had been looking for one that was a nice medium size. This is perfect. Big enough to do five jacket potatoes. The appearance is what sold it for me so I'm extremely happy that it does not dissapoint on the function side of things.I also think the price is great. Worth every penny.I have had it for around 8 weeks and have used it more or less daily without any issues at all. I would happily recommend this beautiful retro microwave.

Classy device which just falls short of ticking all of my boxes
I love this, with a couple of minor reservations (both of which probably say more about me than they do about the product). We bought ours to replace a similarly cream-themed Daewoo microwave which stopped working after two years. The Swan model is smarter, reassuringly more expensive to buy, and has the same capacity but a slightly smaller footprint. It's well made, with good sturdy metal fixings throughout (none of this chrome-coloured plastic nonsense), and does everything you'd expect of it quickly, quietly and efficiently. My only reservations are as follows: firstly, the Swan branding. A cursory glance at their website proudly displays the Union Jack and the 100 year history of this great British institution, home of the Teasmaid etc. The product itself though is made in China, so don't be fooled into thinking you're Buying British when in fact you're not. Secondly, it doesn't have an energy saving standby mode - it's either on, or its' off. When it's on there's a beautiful clear (digital) clock display; turn it off though (for instance at night) and the time isn't saved, so you either have to reset the clock each time, or simply leave it showing 00.00 all day long which is, I must confess, what we tend to do.As I say, neither of these minor reservations are exactly show-stoppers, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the machine to anyone looking for something smart, efficient and a little bit different.

Beautiful design and easy to use with dexterity problems
I purchased this product at Christmas 2014 - I love the style of it and the colour - it fits well into my kitchen - the design is compact and stylish, however I do find that the controls are a little complicated to figure out and tend to just "do my own thing" if I'm honest. Also another little niggle is that when you use it I find that it tends to fill with fluid at the bottom - ie the steam doesn't seem to escape properly - so you end up with a puddle in the turntable well every time you use it - but this is a minor problem as over all it is a good efficient microwave and well priced. Also I have dexterity problem (I have arthritis) and I find the pull handle really easy to use and the knobs are very easy to use much easier than a push button control. All in all - despite the niggles - I would highly recommend this Microwave to anyone.

MicroWave goodbye to the hob popcorn ...
We bought this in a sale for £60ish, and for that price we are very happy with our purchase. It looks stylish and works perfectly with our kitchen.Assembly was simply, amazing pug and play really, and with a quick wipe down, you are good to go.Appreciating its only a 800w microwave, I have to say I notice this when using, always have to put in for a little longer that recommended cooking instruction so would say it’s not that powerful. It works for us, we have patience, and for the money, we are extremely happy with our purchase at this price. I wouldn’t recommend if was priced much higher because you can get a 1,000w for not much more.Good brand, good purchase and so far so good .z

Lasted about 5 years
I loved the look of this microwave and that it is such a simple thing to use - very few settings means you can't go wrong. However small amount of moisture has led to an awful lot of rust making it unusable. The coating inside the microwave is very thin.Full disclosure I don't remember paying more than £50 for it and it was around five years ago, so the newer models might be better.I'm going to try spraying the inside - I really don't like seeing otherwise good pieces of kit go to waste!

It gave up in about a year of use
Purchase date: April 2022Review date: Feb 2025Broke in less than 3 years. For the majority of that time (2 entire years), was in an empty property unused, except for occasional visits.Spins and lights up but can't melt butter in 4 mins on high. Tried all the basic troubleshooting (off and on, unplugged for 5 mins, fiddled with settings) and it just doesn't want to. Very upsetting. Then the next day it'll be fine, and two days later it's back to stubbornly ignoring me. No use really, can't have a microwave that only works when it feels like it.Also Amazon is telling me that I should tell you about the ease of cleaning, so do be aware that it's very easy to clean this noisy little functionless cupboard, though I found other people lamenting that it can rust inside within the year, so your mileage may vary. It's very pretty, for sure, but it works worse than my previous ancient booming giant of a microwave, which I now regret throwing out even though it had rusted holes clean through on parts of the body. That must have been a couple of decades old.Anyway, I guess make sure to check reviews that purchased more that a few months ago, when buying appliances. Lesson learned. I thought Swan was a trustworthy enough name, but I have no warranty so it's time for a new microwave I guess. Perhaps a different brand this time though. Fool me once, shame on me...
