This is honestly a fantastic tool, and I couldn’t be more impressed with its performance. One of the standout moments for me was when I was trying to locate an unknown breaker in a breaker panel—something that can be a real hassle, especially if you don't have the right tools. This tool made the process so much quicker and easier. What would’ve been a guessing game or a time-consuming trial-and-error process turned into something almost effortless. I’ve only scratched the surface in terms of using all the tool’s functions, but even just using it for this one task, it paid for itself. Honestly, after that experience, I knew I’d gotten my money’s worth. The fact that it saved me so much time and frustration made it a solid investment right from the get-go. It’s one of those tools that you don’t realize how much you need until you use it—and then you wonder how you ever managed without it. Whether you just want to check an outlet, or a panel switch, or if you want to map every outlet/light fixture in your home (because you probably won't find it in the breaker panel cover sheet), this tool set is fantastic! It saved me a lot of time without having to flip breaker switches on and off while running all over the house to check which outlet/light/appliance was on which circuit. Anyway, highly recommend.

This is such a fun tool. Two of my sons have older houses. The labels on their breaker panel must have been written in pencil and most are faded beyond legibility. This tool makes it easy to trace what outlets/lights are on which breaker! Much better than the 2 people on cell phones hollering when lights in the house go off as a breaker is flipped. Instructions and LED indicators / display are straight forward. Device is well made and the carrying case is a bonus!

I have always liked Klein electric tool, because they just work. Had a heck of a time locating a circuit breaker, my house has a huge panel box and 3 sub boxes. At first, I decided to save some money and get a different less expensive breaker finder. To be completely honest, I thought it was Klein because it was the same color, which is on me. That device did not work, keep showing false positives on the same 3 breakers no matter what outlet I had the tester/transponder plugged into. Even when I knew exactly what breaker it was, the other devices failed to recognize it. Tried and tried over and over with the same false positive results. So, I decided to spend the extra money, which in hindsight was only another $15, and purchase this set. Bonus, this set came with a lot more plus the case for another $5, which is well worth it. I could now not only test outlets to make more they were wired correctly, but also test and trace breakers with outlets, two pongs, light socket and live exposed wires. Very nice. To test the breaker finder functionality, I plugged the tester/transmitter into a random outlet and confirmed it was wired correctly, which it was. Went downstairs, turned on the breaker finder, "the wand", on my way because I read to do this away from the panel box. Once I got to the box, I ran the wand down the breakers- top to bottom- left to right- first one row and then the other, ignoring the beeping and lights. This apparently learns the breakers, gets an ideal of what's up. Started the process over again and the wand went berserk on the very last breaker- short increased beeping with a red light- over a double 15-amp breaker. I did not think this was the correct breaker at all because it was a different breaker than the other outlets in the room that I knew of. Said to myself, here we go again, another defective unit that doesn't work, thanks Klein, had high hopes for you, you never let me down before. Held the wand away, reset it and ran the test again, showed the exact same breaker, the very last one in the box, double 15 amp and it even told me it was the top 15-amp switch, not the bottom 15. I reluctantly flipped that breaker off, more out of spite than anything and went upstairs to see what clocks I need to reset and where. MUCH to my surprise, the tester plugged into the outlet was off, no "correct wiring" lights or anything. Humm, must have turned itself off, which didn't make sense since it gets it power from the outlet, so I took it out and plugged it back in and ALAS no power! That was the exact correct breaker! I should have never doubted my buddy Klein!

This is a very nice tool. It works well, per the printed / included instruction manual. (I REALLY like that a printed manual is included and that it fits inside the hard zipper case). The manual is printed in English, Spanish and French. I really like the case, w/ a fitted cavity for all the parts. This tool is (mostly) complete. It doesn't include a #1 Phillips screwdriver, required to open / close the battery door. It is nice that the small battery door screw is captive. It is nice that a (Chinese) 9V battery is included. The illuminated NEMA 5-15 plug-in sender has three indicator lamps, w/ result chart label, for standard wall receptacle testing. It also has a pushbutton to short Neutral to Ground for GFI breaker disable testing. It also automatically transmits the signal to the circuit breaker panel for identification testing. The kit includes three adapters for increased versatility. There is a Edison E26 screw to polarized NEMA 1-15 receptacle adapter for testing standard screw-in light bulb sockets. There is a NEMA 5-15 receptacle to polarized NEMA 1-15 plug, w/ ground screw tab, for testing w/ light bulb adapter. There is a dual insulated alligator clip to NEMA 5-15 receptacle for testing dangling wires. A BIG improvement suggestion is to change the product, from tolerating 90-135 VAC, to instead tolerating 240 VAC The receiver / detector has a NEMA 5-15 receptacle, to store the transmitter between uses. On my device the insertion / removal force was greater than I think is appropriate. The device always exactly located the correct breaker in each of the tests I performed, following the printed instructions. This is recommended.

Never knew these were a thing but I love this tool! I have a house built in 1938 with screw in fuses and have had circuit issues and switch issues many times. Seems like old circuits were not well planned and accessing the box and yelling through the house to map them across 3 stories is tedious. This tool worked great on my circuits and was easy to use. I definitely recommend it!

The tool is straightforward to operate with no learning curve, and it’s compact enough that I’ve added it to my everyday carry tool kit for home maintenance. Honestly, I don’t have any negatives to call out. If you do electrical work around the home even occasionally, this is one of those tools that quickly pays for itself in convenience.

Love this product, sure is a time saver. Not sure how I got by without using it al these years. Definitely worth every penny.

It works really well and I was a little hesitant testing a 125vac 20a circuit just using the clips I thought perhaps because there was not ground the sensor may not like that but it worked extremely well and I locate the " unmarked" breaker within minutes. Thank-you
